My husband and I stayed three nights at the Canaan Valley Resort to take advantage of the wonderful hiking in the region. We did not play golf or tennis or shoot skeet, so leave those experiences to others to report. The rooms were nicely designed and clean. We opted for a junior suite -- which wasn't really a suite, but... More

We went up the.lift and the views were unbelievable. We did some of the trail on top but did not go all the way up to Bald Knob. The view from the top was worth the price.

My sisters and I spent one night at the Resort. We had a balcony room and watched the deer. The restaurant served a great dinner. Indoor and outdoor pools, bicycles and trails are available to guests.

My boys' (7 and 9) favorite park of our weekend in the Canaan Valley was the Turtle Slide at the Canaan Valley Ski Resort. They had so much fun sliding down the hill. The staff was very helpful with riding the rope tow. We were able to drive up to the base of the lift, making it easier for grandparents... More

It's a favorite place for my family. We've camped at the campground here for the past twenty some years. There's so much to do within the resort from hiking, outdoor and indoor swimming, camp fires, restaurants, 18 hole golf, miniature gold, a rock climbing wall and more! With the resort lodge being recently renovated, it's a beautiful building within itself.... More

A good place to unwind and enjoy nature! The Resort offers allot of activities for everyone from hiking, biking, swimming in their large pool to playing tennis. There is more than the activities that I have listed. The people working at the Resort will gladly help you in any way and the restaurant on the Resort is one of the... More

a very nice state park, we were there for a work conference The new building much better than the old satellite sleeping areas. eating is ok. prices much higher now with the new company running the lodging and dining facilities. The way the doors are set up allow too many flies to get inside. Hopefully the old satellite buildings will... More

My wife & I decided to eat at the resort, since we have have good experiences with the dining options in various State Parks. I chose the early bird buffet, and my wife opted for a vegetarian option. Both were excellent.

A great all season resort. I like going in the fall to see the beautiful foliage. I usually come here and Blackwater Falls during the same trip. Wildlife abounds in the resort and it is nothing to see the deer wandering through the cabin areas. Great for a day trip or the weekend.

This resort which was just recently renovated is like no state park you know. Gorgeously appointed rooms, glass expanses and Frank Lloyd Wright-esque stonework and wood define the common area. The cafe in the front serves coffee in the a.m., has snack food and wine in the evening. Cute gift shop and great customer service. Indoor pool and full restaurant... More
