We recently spent overnight in Hotel and were very pleasently surprised. The entire hotel including rooms and casino were very clean and nice. All service staff was attentive and polite. Gaming staff was very nice as they took my money at the craps and roulette tables. Nice comperhensive workout facility next door. As an extra bonus you can watch the... more

as a frequent visitor to the casino i have noticed in the last few visits the lack of service to the customer. cashier windows have been reduced to only 2 cashiers causing tremendous lines in waiting to exchange slot winning tickets and chips for our winnings. if this is managements way to force customers to give up and then play... more

The only positive thing I can is that they have table games there. The casino itself lacks atmosphere. There are additional table games track side, however the atmosphere there is even worse. Do not waste your time staying here over night or for the weekend. Once you gamble away your money, there is nothing to do. Other than a band... more

I loved the slot games at Mountaineer Casino. As far as the hotel, it looks outdated. There are a variety of restaurants, and a coffee shop separate from the casino. The hotel courtyard is a quiet place to escape from the casino. more

I have no clue how anyone could find anything at all positive at this place!!!!! The food stinks---the servers shirts hanging out touching your plate as they lean OVER your food(does West Virginia have a health dept. or codes? The people from cashiers to food service have crappy attitudes(like they're doing US a favor being there)...... Something is terribly wrong... more

This so called casino is the absolute worst place I have ever visited. The service is extremely poor, and the food is even worse. It tastes like glue and cardboard. Just plain awful. The workers at this waste site are complete and utter idiots. The management of this pig pen is really pulling the wool over the eyes of the... more

This was my first visit to the Mounaineer casino. I've been to Vegas twice and even though I broke even both times, at least I was able to play for hours on the same $100 before I had to dip into my pocket again. The Mountaineer is a scam! I went with a friend and between the 2 of us... more

We've been to the Mountaineer over two dozen times. Stayed there about 5. Never stayed in the Lodge, been lucky enough to get the hotel. People saying it's too expensive may not have the Players Card. With the card you get a coupon book and we have stayed for $39, $59 and $79. I can't see complaining about that. When... more

We live only about 30 miles from Mountaineer. If you want to go and just give them your money that is what you are doing. Their food is horrible. I have never stayed at the hotel. It is to expensive for me especially since I live so close. I would rather see the horseraces. The machines are so tight you... more
