Friday nights are great at riverfront park. Take your family and enjoy the free concerts! Park also has plenty of seating, restrooms, & even a sandbox for the younger kids to keep them occupied. There's plenty of food vendors that set up right on the boulevard and if you like to drink they offer alcohol too just remember ID.

This park is located right in the middle of Charleston, right beside of the Kanawha river. This park is the location of many car shows, concerts and other events. There are near by hotels and restaurants, as well as, vendors on some events.

We love to boat up here and enjoy the festivities. We were disappointed there wasn't anything on the 4th of July. We love the concerts and enjoy the park.

A really nice downtown outdoor concert venue along the banks of the Kanawha River. Especially nice during the annual festival in June.

A nice place to sit and enjoy the sun on a lunch break downtown (now that it's above water, anyway) Events are held here over the summer every Friday night with free live music and a few other events are held less regularly (and for money) throughout the year. Ask your friendly local.

We had a nice stroll along the riverfront with family this past weekend. I can see how this would be a nice area for outdoor concerts and festivals. Convenient metered street parking is available.

They stopped doing the Regatta, which is very sad, but Charleston still manages to have 3 or 4 big festivals along the river every year, and music at the new amphitheater they added a few years ago. Visits my historic boats, WWI era boats, local and nationally touring musicians, political rallies, make this a happening place. Despite the events that... More
