Though not a veteran myself one feels humbled by the number of WV veterans that served and died. This memorial which is in the capitol complex, which in itself is worth the effort to see, is a beautiful memorial. I think those that served will feel special pride in knowing the state recognizes their efforts and sacrifices.

This is a great way to honor the Veterans of West Virginia. There are free parking spots for those who want to visit the memorial which I think is a nice touch. We visited both during the day and at night, it’s all light up at night and even more peaceful. It’s a great spot to sit and reflect on... More

This is a nice place to go around but don't follow de map on trip advisor to get there this is totally wrong. I tried to follow the gps on the apps and I ended on the country side of Charleston. This is behind the estate Capitol. Downtown.

Location is in center city close to capital area. Beautiful structure. it is under a small renovation right now but this does not impede your visit.

The Veterans Memorial is beautiful! We visited during the day, but it looks as though there are lights that shine on the statues at night. Definitely worth the stop while at the Capitol.

It's a powerful experience to see so many names of fallen soldiers engraved in the marble of this monument. During my visit, the monument was being renovated--and the orange power cords, ladders and empty pools definitely took away from my experience. There are a few free, non-metered parking spots very close to the space for visitors of the monument. Otherwise... More

This is one of the best memorials I have seen. And who would have expected it in WV. If you are in the area this is a must see. WV is unique- I sincerely hope they revive tourism in this state.

Located close to the WV State Capital this memorial is very well done. It's like a history capsule of WV's contributions to America's continuing struggle for Freedom. The details on the statutes are exceptional.
