We enjoyed seeing the many quilts on display at the Cultural Center, and we also liked wandering through the gift shop. Everyone in the Center was friendly.

A nice location with plenty of parking on the weekends. Keep in mind this facility is located next to the state capital which houses a bunch of politicians that hog the parking for months at a time and a slew of state bldgs with state employees that take up most of the parking in the area. There is a nice... More

The Cultural Center is a very impressive place to stop by if you are visiting our capital in West Virginia. Located directly beside the capital you will enter thru glass doors that display an attractive chandelier that is above the foyer. Impressive marble and wood make the area seem formal but inside the museum you will find the roots of... More

It is always enjoyable to view the quilts displayed throughout the summer. A fun item was stand-up views which you could take pictures of yourself in WV related stuff. Ex: Your head through a mountaineer. The museum store is delightful to browse.

We didn't know what to expect when our family got here. in fact, we were just visiting the State Capitol and then saw this. All I can say is I wish we allocated more time. It had a fun, informative path to follow to learn about the history of WVA. And the kids were given a scavenger hunt for items... More

The NPR-syndicated radio show Mountain Stage is the primary user of the auditorium in the Cultural Center so my review is of the taping of the radio show. I didn't go through the rest of the museum...next visit!

I attended with a school group, but kept thinking, "wow, my husband would love to see" this or that. The exhibits present history with state of the art technology. The kids were given small video cameras and scavenger hunt guides. At the end of the tour they were given flash drives to upload all of their discoveries. We are long... More

The cultural center has been revamped since I had been there previously, and the layout is very logical and easy to follow. The attention to detail is impressive, and though it is not extensive, it gives a great overview of the history of West Virginia.
