Loved the architecture and the lovely workmanship. The Vermont marble was beautiful. Convenient to down town area.

Awesome place to visit. Very accessible. Educational. Beautiful. Vandalia gathering memorial day weekend would be a very good first visit.

One of the most gorgeous buildings in all of West Virginia. Marble everything. Great architecture and statues. I'm a little bias - I work here. Worth a look around if you're in town.

Touring the capitol was the highlight of our visit to Charleston. In addition to our guide, we had the extra pleasure of personal attention from the Senate Clerk who stepped in to speak with us in the senate chamber. WOW -- best capitol tour ever!

You can park at the building with... More

This is a beautiful old capitol building. I was surprised to find that there was, for all practical purposes, no security and you have the run of the building. The building is beautiful with two thirds of the interior covered with marble and two identical giant 1,500 pound crystal chandeliers . . . . . . one hanging in the... More

This is a wonderful place to see while visiting. We had never been to the area, and were pleasantly surprised. The buildings are beautiful both inside and out. We got a bit turned around a few times, and the staff were wonderful in guiding us to the appropriate places.
