Couples weekend trip started at the casino with dinner and horse racing. The crab cake was excellent. The horse racing was extremely slow was sometimes 25 minutes between races. We lost interest after the 5th race. The band was on break longer than they played. But that was ok because the DJ was better anyway.

I've been to Charlestown many times and their slots are nothing like before. I put $6,000 dollars in a $10 slot machine and didn't hit jack shi! They have really changed their pay out...save your money until MGM opens up. This place is not worth your time and money. Can't even enjoy your play time. You can put a $100... More

I for one heard the exact same statement made by numerous staff that work or worked at this casino. The Casino is partly owned by the State of West Va so you might not find record of any fines since the very Casino the State has interest in collects said fines and wouldn't want anyone to know this type of... Was taking a trip to near the Appalachian trail and wanted to relax indoors and do a little gambling. I was surprise how nice this casino was. We got to watch the horse racing for about a half hour and heading into the casino. I was surprised the variety of different foods in the food court and found a nice... More

Fun casino and horse racing at its best. Parking and easy a plus. No charge to enter or parking. The track was in superior condition and staff Wes friendly. Good food and drink available. The no smoking section of the casino was located near entry and plenty of machines availableoo

My husband and I have made several visits to this casino over the last few yers, and I can honestly say I have gone my last time. No more for me. They have improved that place to death. Literally. Machines were so tight it was pathetic. Playing a penny machine for a buck fifty anid get a bonus the eqivalent... More

I was pleasantly surprised with this casino. Monday and Tuesday nights were quiet and not too crowded. There is a food court inside with a wide variety of food choices. Inside, the casino there is a non-smoking area which was clean and nice, not too crowded. The horse racing track is a quick walk to the outside and was quite... More

If they would get a hotel attached with a great out door pool this would be worth the trip, stopped by with kids hoping to find something for them to do for a little while so my husband could gamble but nothing, if they had a hotel with pool we could have stay at that would have been great, heads... This casino is now as big as any you would visit in Atlantic City but on a recent Sunday night they were closing tables down for lack of player.. but instead of closing the $25 tables, they were closing the $10 and $15. That is reverse supply and demand and that could be why they had to close the tables... More

Enjoyed Saturday night at the races. Simulcasting raised the handle to approximately 25K per race. Crowd was averaging over 60 years old ... and that includes a few minors who were there with their grandparents. Clean environment, with relatively inexpensive concessions and no admission fee made this a place I would return to watch live horse racing.
