A beautiful view for anytime of day. We went during the day and it was amazing and maybe even nicer at night. It was like standing in a cloud at night and the wind was whipping around like crazy, my whole family loved it. There are also some grills and picnic tables on site and what looks to be some hiking trails.

Our family enjoyed the windy road up the mountain to see this overlook. There was a nice spot to pull over with picnic tables and plenty of parking.

Nice overlook into WV. If you look in the other direction you can see VA. The state line marker is close to the middle of the top of the mountain. If you are not in a rush, the ols route 52 is a great drive all the way to Wythville VA. Bland county is one of the only counties where you enter thru. a tunnel and leave thru a tunnel

Nice overlook. Has covered picnic area. Bathrooms were locked when I was there. Easy turn in and parking to step out and take some pictures.

The drive up the mountain was a little curvy but well worth it. About 7-8 miles out of the way but what the heck. The view is amazing. They do have restrooms and parking.

This location has a breathtaking view. Take your time going up the mountain. It will be well worth it once you reach the summit. We wish we knew about the picnic tables. This would have been a great location for a family lunch. Be very careful going down the mountain. Their are hairpin curves however it is an easy drive. We were really glad we visited this location. Take a lot of pictures.

A great place to view Bluefield. Very beautiful scenery, especially in the fall. A great stop for bikers and Sunday drivers.

Beautiful view on a clear day and you will have the overlook all to yourself. It is even more interesting when you can watch the fog roll in.

Looking down on this lovely valley, seeing all the chicory in blooming blues, one can understand why the first settlers called out, "Look at all those blue fields!" At least this was the story I heard while growing up in Bluefield. My mom garnered local support and got an information center there before the tunnel through the mountain. The view is still worth leaving I77 and taking old RT 52 up the mountain. M Stone French

Is the drive up the mountain scary? Is it dangerous, sharp curves and sudden steep drops? Thinking about going here but I don't like sharp curves with steep drops. The ones you see in movies where cars fall off the edge and crash down.

It is not too dangerous. Just take your time going up and please be careful coming down. You won’t be disappointed once you reach the summit. The view is breathtaking! Enjoy!!
