We chose the Ziler trail for our hike and enjoyed it very much; although, it is a very rough trail. There were some steep ups and downs and a lot of rocks to contend with, but it was worth it. The trail system is well marked and I think any of the trails would be worth hiking. We did not... More

Visit Cacapon a couple times a year for golf and relaxing in either the lodge or cabins. Accommodations are a little rustic but quite comfortable. Staff is friendly and do a good job. The lodge restaurant is good. The golf course is a favorite.

Several trails to chose from for various levels of exercise. From basic trails to more vertical climbs... but nothing to hard.

Modest rooms but an incredible Robert Trent Jones golf course that is well maintained. Many challenges and deer are visible at every turn. The views will take your breath away. Some good eateries just 10 minutes from the park in Berkeley Springs. Only a short 2.5 hour drive from York,Pa.

If you're looking for a pleasant weekend (or longer) getaway within a short (2- to 2.5-hour) drive of the D.C. and Baltimore metropoli, head west on I-70, turn south at Hancock, Md., and enjoy Berkeley Springs and Cacapon Resort State Park. The park has a modern lodge, fully-appointed, pet-friendly "cabins" (really, spacious homes where cooking and entertaining are possible), and... More

Loved this place. A state park that is free to get into! Great hikes of varying degrees of difficulty. Nice little lake with a sandy beach, boat hire, and fishing pier. ($3 to swim) Great golf course, beautiful lodge. The place is just so beautiful. Cleaning staff even opened a cabin for us to see. We have already booked a... More

Golf course is beautiful and in great condition. Many hiking trails of varying difficulty levels. Mountaintop view was worth the drive to the top. Stayed in lodge. Room was clean and well maintained, but very rustic, and very small with no frills. Two tennis courts looked to be well maintained. Did not get a chance to visit the beach or... More
