After having visited our first winery last year in Oregon our expectations were high as to what this winery would have to offer seeing as it is such a popular brand. We were a bit disappointed by what we found here. I would first like to say that the grounds are beautiful and it is a perfect place to grab... More

We had wanted to visit Chateau Ste Michelle for a long time and were not disappointed when we finally made it. The winery is an extended estate and, as the largest reisling producer in the US (world?), their reislings did not disappoint. We found their Late Harvest Reisling particularly attractive. Prices at Ste Michelle are extraordinarily low in comparison to... More

The best part about a visit here is the grounds. The wines are just fine, but nothing to rave about--they are consistently good. Buy a bottle of your choice, some cheese and crackers, and sit on a blanket out under the trees on their grounds. It's a wonderful place for a picnic or to sit under a tree and read... More

If you can, plan to go during the week rather than the weekend when it gets quite crowded. Wish we could have been there for one of their concerts, that would have been a wonderful treat!

If you go to Woodinvlle, this is a must see. Great, very informative tour, followed by a great tasting season. Their main wines are a great value as a price/quality combination. Highly consistent bottle-to-bottle, with expected variations year-to-year, as vintages come and go. If you choose to join the Reserve Club, you not only get mailed great reserved wines every... The one thing Chateau Ste. Michelle has going for it is its visiting entertainers, like Diane Krall, opening its grassy hillside to all to listen to great sound. Other than that it is a winery. We have so many in Washington.

The concert on the lawn if great experience; Wine though a bit on expensive side (than outside for same brand) is worth it if you are with music & fun loving friends. Concert staff can be rude at end of concert literally herding you out.

With and enchanting property, an excellent tour of the winery and tasting of their fine wines this is a visit not to be missed. Our guide that day was extremely knowledgable and we learned a lot not only about their wines but the different regions grapes come from in Washington state. The grounds are spectacular, just walking in the property... More
