While in Seattle, my wife and I decided to do some wine tasting in Woodinville and Chateau Ste Michelle was our first stop. The chateau was beautiful and crowded. The parking lot was filled with limos and tour buses. This winery makes a nice stop for photo ops but the wine is lack luster with the exception of a few... More

Visited this winery while on a trip to the Seattle area for a family event since it was close by. Was familiar with this winery's products back in Massachusetts. The free tour was conducted by a woman staffer who was very knowledgeable about wine making and presided over the free wine tasting session while making some good suggestions about how... More

As an occupant of France who has wine tasted throughout that country as well as NZ, Australia, Portugal, Spain, Italy etc, this is the first time I have paid for a tasting, 15 USD for 5 wines. This seems to be the norm in Washington. The wines were enjoyable, especially the Rieslings which were well structured and with good acidity.... More

She led me into manificent garden and shared the history of the site from 1910 as Hollywood farm to the French style chateau built in 1976. She explained all the original that the previous MacBride family Japanese Stewartia, Consorted Filbert, Beautiful maple... More

The grounds are beautifull. It is a perfect place to buy a bottle of wine and have a picinic. The wine tasting area was packed. The wines we tasted were good but I was more impressed with the grounds.

Took my daughter and some friends for her birthday. We took the tour, samples some wine, purchased wine, sat on the grass and relaxed. Excellent tour. Nice and friendly tour guides and employees. Want to come back for their summer concert series!

My wife and I took an early tour.. had a flight of wine, sample of 4 for $10, they also reduce the cost of anything you buy. We booked a tour Bon Vivant, a little pricey, but was great not having to drive from our downtown Seattle hotel and met some very nice people.

I think this winery is crippled by its size and desire to appeal to the masses. None of the wine is spectacular. We tried the limited, "member-only" wine, and were unimpressed. We did not splurge for the super fancy tasting and maybe this is better, but I have come to expect good wine at all cost-points and reserving the decent... More

It's a great place to go for the tour and tasting. Make sure you check out the gift shop and take home some wine!
