On a trip to Seattle we spent one night in Woodinville at the lovely Cottage Lake Gardens B&B as we had tickets to see Ringo Starr at the Chateau. People start lining up hours in advance, and it was fun chatting the people around us. The more experienced concert-goers were quite prepared with fabulous feasts they brought in coolers, but... We went for a wine tasting at the Chateau Ste. Michelle. We were almost late for the tasting, but they were very nice and let us taste test. The wines were delicious and reasonably priced.

I have gone on the tour with my husband, and gone back as a family several times just to visit the grounds. I have also went to a Steve Miller concert here. Every time was sensational. The grounds are lovely. Plenty of green space, ponds/fountains, fish and ducks. You can bring a picnic lunch and buy your wine there. The tour... More

The winery was beautiful, they offer tours and tasings. I went for a concert. They have a beautiful outdoor Ampitheatre surrounded by trees. Great place to bring a picnic and sit by the lake.

This is one of the top things to do when in the Seattle area. You can visit the winery, do some tasting, shop their great gift shop, and, if you've planned ahead, attend an evening concert featuring a top-named performer, as I recently did. The setting, the wine, and the entertainment fulfilled all expectations. For concerts there are two options:... More

Their wine is a house favorite and we couldn't wait to visit the winery. Beautiful area, grounds and tasting room. Did not disappoint.

Four of us visited Chateau Ste. Marie winery in Woodinville, Washington in mid-July. If you go during the summer, call ahead to check tasting hours as the winery has series of terrific summer concerts with top notch headliners and on concert days and the day after, the tour hours may change. Also, check the website when you are going to... More

Large tasting rooms , but can get crowded and so many levels of wines that it can be difficult for the novice taster. Lots of areas to sit and have a glass or bottle on the large grounds. Easy to bike too from the river trails.

Crowded and some of the workers there not too friendly. Couldn't get a tour as they were already full. Did a tasting and were not impressed with the wines. Love their lower end products like the Riesling. We were surprised to find their higher offerings to be lacking, in our opinion.
