We have been to the Wenatchee National Forest a number of times. Its very pretty forest area with lakes, etc. There are hiking, picnics, and camping possibilities. This time we just drove through a section of it on our way from Leavenworth to Kent.

We went to the Wenatchee National Forest, Naches section, which is next to the eastern side of Mount Rainier. There are so many campgrounds, trails day use areas accessible off the highway. The beautiful river runs fast, and the views are breathtaking.

Well maintained for a very hot season. Sorry to see Tumwater campground closed! Could charge more to keep wonderful service going in the future!

We stayed at the Wenatchee National Forest south campground. Overall the camping was great and the site was clean and spacious. Lake Wenatchee itself is amazing and worth hiking around it. It seems like it's common for that area to get a lot of wind however, and in our case it was so windy we couldn't go in the lake... More

We spent some time at Lake Wenatchee. It is always on the windy side. But this day, it was REALLY windy. And the day was a pleasant sunny day otherwise! It was pretty unbearable on the beach. Just too windy, with sandy blowing in your face, etc. However, once you left the main area, the wind was virtually gone. We... More

Simply amazing hike! If you are looking for a beautiful scenic hike with a challenge then this trail is for you. This hike is a 9 mile roundtrip day hike. Some sites list it as moderate, but It depends on your fitness level. If your like us and are one a month hikers, then this is difficult. It is not... More

The scenery was generally pretty, but there were several places where a persistent drought had caused forest fires during the last twelve months. The one forestry department rest stop we visited had over-priced food and average service.

Drove through to go to Leavenworth Wa. And it was very beautiful. I am from the Midwest so you know coming from flat lands to this was awe inspiring

We were in a hurry and did have the time to do this place justice. Just drove through it for a bit. Gorgeous setting, awesome trees. Must return.
