By making connections for viewers which may not be instantly obvious, Tacoma Art Museum has developed a reputation for presenting 20th century art in a thought-provoking yet accessible manner. Tacoma Art Museum has also made a strong commitment to Northwest art through its acquisition and exhibition programs. The building was worth the trip by itself and then you got to see all the art, The layout was interesting and it was easy to get around. My wife and I are disabled and this was very easy to get around and look at the art. They had a nice selection of art and a good glass area of... More

We've been fans of Chihuly and have seen his work all over the country but this was terrific, demonstrating his creativity and skill throughout his prodigious career. Don't skip the video showing the background and execution of several of his enormous installations. Taking ice blocks from Alaska to Israel to use like glass blew us away!

I love going to TAM because they always have something interesting going on. The staff at the front desk are welcoming, warm and helpful. This museum is definitely worth seeing.

It's better than most small children's museums. More about play than science or education. But it's clean, no broken or dilapidated exhibits like most places, ant the staff is friendly and attentive. Coffee shop out front is greatly appreciated.

I took my students for a tour with an education guide. She did an awesome job of explaining the art pieces, the artist and the collection. My students were very interested, asked questions and to my surprise analyzed the art pieces. Parking is easy and the staff was polite, helpful and informative.

Tacoma has many museums and trm is one of the top. What lacks here is the lack of world awe inspiring features. Unlike seattle art musem with exhibits that make you want to run out and tell everyone. Go here when you support the work of featured artist or you got free tickets

This museum fits the whole Tacoma scene. Lots of art everywhere. A very casual experience with local artists work. Spent about an hour there. Very relaxing and a good place to get those creative juices flowing. Not really small children friendly.

Good displays but they had a limited floor space so not as large as some of the previous museums I have seen.

Interesting exhibits, enjoyed EricCarle exhibit. Walk to Old Tacoma station with Chihuly glass. If you are interested in glass Tacoma is the place to be/ Dale Chihuly was born here and has been generous to the city with his work/
