This place is great for kids 2 years old to about 8 years old. It's located downtown parking and there is paid street parking for up to 2 hours and there is also parking lot. The most popular is the water play area and it looks busy in this area.

On my first trip to the Children's Museum I was pleasantly surprised. I have two granddaughters that I care for on Monday and Friday's. It's a bummer that the museum is not open on Monday's for walk ins. We had tons of fun with all the adventures, especially the water works! Lots of hands on activities. It gets very busy... More

We took our twin five year old grandsons and their two year old brother here. This was their second trip there and they had a wonderful time. Plus for seniors ...plenty of places to sit and rest and just watch. Best of all was the room where they could put balls and scarves in suction tubes and watch the action.

I recently went with my grandchild. He was bored after less than an hour. It was very crowded for a week day. Parking in the Museum lot is NOT available during the week, all of the spots were marked reserved with signs that you WILL be towed if you park there without permission. (not exactly user friendly for parents with... More

We were really impressed! We spend two hours there and it wasn't long enough. My eight and six year olds would have stayed all day. The space is split into numerous zones each of which is different and really capture kids imagination. We also visited the three museums nearby over two consecutive Saturdays and it was well worth the trip... More

I loved this place! Kids can run around, dress up, build, color, make music, dance, and more! Great activities for kids under 12, and even pretty cool for the parents too. My favorite area was the music room and the coloring room.

Our granddaughter (4 yr old) loves this museum. It's filled with fun play areas that spark creativity. One you get past the extremely slow check-in process and the required orientation (inside voices, share, play gently) your kids will have a blast. They have a "what-ever-you-can-pay" policy so try to be generous. Other similar museums charge $6+/person.

Great interactive exhibits! Price of entry is ridiculously cheap for what you get. So-so cafe area for frazzled parents needing caffeine to keep up with the hyper kids. At least there is cafe! Parking is difficult, but if you don't mind parking at the Tacoma Dome Parking Garage (free for first 3 hours), you can take the light rail for... More

This place is great for children 10 and under. The kids love all the areas. You can even bring your own snacks.

There are lots of damp, rainy days in Wastern Washington so this is a very fun place for children to play, learn, explore, and use their imagination. We have taken our young grandchildren there many times and they always enjoy themselves. For adults there is the all important coffee bar for a little pick-you-up while the kids play.
