Beautiful day at the falls. As you will see the falls have easy access to and from. You can catch a ride on the red bus to the trail head. A short walk will get you up to the falls. An overlook a few feet above the first landing will reveal an even better look of the falls and the... More

Still beautiful in August! Easy walk to falls from bus stop and then a short hike to see falls from higher up. Two choices for this hike - gentle sloping or faster more advanced trail. Both options are short and worth the walk. Bring the camera, great photo ops!

It is a 3.5 mile easy walk from Stehekin landing or a 30 minute travel with the shuttle. Great views of a high waterfall (~300ft) surrounded by fields of wild flowers. there are 2 view points - one to the road drive level and another with a mild elevation trail to the upper waterfall. wonderful and refreshing views (especially on... This is one of the big attractions in Stehekin and if you are there you must see it. You can get there by: 1) bus - takes 5 min, 2) renting a bicycle at $5/hr - takes 15 min, 3) walking - takes an hour if you are a "walker". There are advantages and disadvantages for each of these modes... More

Beautiful cascading glacial melt. Worth the trip. Take the National Parks Service bus from the Stehekin landing for easy access to the falls.

This was one of the few falls we've visited where you can get quite close up safely with just a short walk from parking. The spot at ground level was absolutely beautiful with some nearby seats where we could sit down and just enjoy the ambiance. Our girls chose to climb up to view the falls from a higher perspective,... More

We travelled to Stehekin with our dog and were unsure if pets were allowed on the tour/shuttle buses to Rainbow Falls, so we just planned to walk from the landing. It was hot (99 degrees), but very doable. It's about 3.5 miles to the falls (7 miles round trip). The bakery (Stehekin Pastry Company) provided a nice break in the... More

You can get here via a tour bus for $10 or a shuttle bus for $14 round trip. You can walk the 3 1/2 miles or better yet, rent a bike. The falls are a few hundred feet of the road and are quite dramatic. The intrepid can jump right in at the base!

After biking 9 miles from High Bridge on one of the hottest days, Rainbow Falls was a welcome cooling and so beautiful to view. Beautiful fall!

Take the guided tour or hop on the park service bus to see this wonderful waterfall. Hike up to the top using the stairs or a gradually inclined walkway for those who have trouble climbing. We took a picnic lunch, sat in the shade and listened to the roar of the water. The mist from the falls keeps the nearby... More
