The Steam plant, including the restaurant is a really cool space!!! Hard to describe how they took industrial place and made it a romantic and fascinating venue. Food in the Steamplant Grill is consistent, delicious and fresh with many local inputs. On weekends, when there's music, walk up and dance with your sweetheart on an old metal bridge or walk... More

The steamplant was not open when we used to live in Spokane. After having eaten there, I can say it is one of the few restaurants in Spokane that can give Clinkerdaggers a run for its money. The atmosphere is unique in that you are eating in the old steamplant that used to operate in Spokane up until the mid-80's.... More

Liked: Food, atmosphere, unique venue, selection of beer Disliked: Not much, maybe a little pricey The food was really good and the selection of beer that they brew is fun. It is a dark restaurant and parking is challenging but for something different, it is worth the trip.

Great historical site in downtown Spokane. You can walk around and get a bit of a history lesson, but the food has always been overpriced and disappointing.

From The Davenport Hotel, we walked to Steam Plant Square. Be sure to take the time to read up on the history of the Steam Plant. Built in 1915 it has a long, local history. I'll say that it felt a bit odd to walk around this area...it didn't seem like the best part of town if you catch my... More

Last Friday evening we dined at the old historic "Steam Plant" just a block from the famous Davenport Hotel. Now on the state and national historical registry, this old steam plant operated by the Washington Water Power Company for many years has been transformed into a bar and restaurant. The Pub with many TV screens available is on the lower... More

I went there for a banquet for my fiance's work. The place appears larger on the inside than you might expect. All the old equipment and girders and such are still in place, albeit very cleaned up and shiny, making it visually interesting and appealing. The food was pretty good, too. As I said, this was a special occasion, and... More

Interesting place to have dinner. Appetizers were good and large portions. Friendly staff and lots to see in the building.

If you are looking for a fun and relaxing place to meet after work and enjoy some appetizers and a great beer selection the Steamplant is a good choice. The bar is in the basement of the historic building with comfy seating and a good pub ambience. Happy Hour has appetizers at half price (chicken nachos were good) and pints... More

We stopped in for drinks. The place is interesting as it was a steam plant and the restaurant makes an effort to preserve the past. The bartender was very friendly!
