We have taken our children and grandchildren here for short hikes as a respite from the city. It is esp. beautiful in the fall and if you time your visit, the kids can play in the giant leaf pile the city creates each year.

The Finch Arboretum is a little different from most arboretums I’ve visited in that the landscape is more homogenous, as opposed to being compartmentalized into specific gardens or sub-forests. It is a very nice property, and conducive to some nice strolling amongst the trees. I visited in late October, and the fall colors were gorgeous. I spent about an hour... More

This is a long, narrow park along the freeway (silencing walls exist) on a slight slope. Natural areas, grassy fields, a creek, and identifying markers provide something for everyone. Take extra clothing for kids; I've never gone with them and not had one fall in the little creek or small pond. If you want to see which trees do well... More

You have to want to go to finch Arboretum. It's not that easy to find but well worth the effort. In the spring the cherry blossom trees are a riot of color and the rhododendrons when in bloom are spectacular. A great place to just walk around and be at peace.

peaceful, spacious, lovely. Went on a field trip with the summer camp class and there is a lot of room to roam and something for everyone.

Great place for a walk if you overlook the traffic noise from I 90 . I am very curious about trees and shrubs especially in a different locale. Too few were labeled. Many had embossed "dog tags" but we had to really hunt for them. If they could get the $$$'s a GPS enabled map/app with descriptions would be awesome.

What a shame the Arboretum lies between 2 highways/major roads. It was hard to hear the birds due to the traffic noise. But it was still worth the stop and time we spent looking at all the trees and shrubs. Make sure to pick up a guide sheet before starting out, there are lots of areas that can be missed... More

Our family has had many wonderful walks through this beautiful park. There are trees to climb, birds to watch, and picnics to be eaten! Weather you are a couple looking for a leisurely place to spend a couple of hours or a family with kids who have energy to burn, there is room for everyone! Bring your camera!

This is a great spot to take a walk and see the Fall colors. Close to city center but feels miles away.

Free public park with lovely paths. Enjoyable year around but best in the fall. Grab some hot chocolate and walk on the crunchy leaves enjoying the crisp air.
