When in Spokane you must visit the waterfront park. The view of the falls and the rushing water that delivers to the falls were great. The rest of the park is worth the walk. More

Downtown Spokane is smaller than a lot of downtown areas. The Riverpark Square Mall saved the downtown from going to urban blight. It was definited headed that way in the mid nineties. A lot of sections of downtown have redeveloped nicely. However, there are still parts that are seedy and run down. I am Spokane local, so I know this... More

Streets, though one-way, are easy to navigate. No Starbucks anywhere, like in normal downtown city centers. More

Downtown Spokane is easy to walk around and very clean. A grand past has been well preserved. The river is only a few blocks from city center. The bus service is excellent, with a downtown station that is the hub for getting a bus anywhere in the city with convenient stops and courteous bus drivers. More

Whenever I'm downtown there is always something to enjoy. I enjoy the shopping, where I can always count on my favorite stores to have what I'm looking for. There are decent restaurants to eat at. And I love having riverfront park just across the street where I can relax and take a stroll. Downtown is always a stop I make... More

So many citys cernter around malls these days and pulled away from the downtown areas, not in Spokane. There is so much to see and do. Lots of shopping, food, and it backs up to River front park. More
