Very Pleasant downtown area, nice to walk around and see different shops, there is a mall and movie theater right downtown. Highly suggest walking thru the park, lots of artistic statues and art, a big Red Wagon and a small amusement park. Plus the pond and the river.

Spokane illustrates and informs about the essence of the Pacific Northwest. Take time to experience the down town area and take note of anything of historical value.

Fantastic mall with outstanding store and places to eat. There is a movie theater with 20 screens and an IMAX sceen. You could spend a week in there and not see everything.

We spent less than a day in Spokane (deserves much more time!), but did go downtown for dinner. Many interesting buildings. The only fault I have with it are the skyways between buildings. They may be welcomed in the winter for passage between buildings, but detract from the cityscape.

We parked in the parking garage attached to the mall and adjoining riverside park. Approached by several very young panhandlers. Didn't feel safe alone.

saw lots of pandering, drunks, a fight, homeless, and "seedy" action downtown. Very disappointing. One of the chain motels we were told is a prostitution hang out. So sad as the shopping area downtown and tow of the hotels have been very well-known and luxurious in the past. Absolutely did not feel safe that evening so we exited the area... More

Varied shopping from Macy's to Nordtrom's as well as other smaller shops. Easily accessible to all persons.

Riverfront park is amazing, waterfalls and walking trails and amusement park and gondola ride and more! Shopping is great. At night the freak show starts, however. Very active youth subculture.

Stores, dining, sight seeing, downtown Spokane has it all! Make sure to visit Atticus coffee & gifts, Riverfront Park, Auntie's Books, Uncle's Games, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory & Cafe Nordstrom while you're there! If you have wee ones be sure and take them to see the garbage goat in Riverfront Park as well as the giant Radio Flyer slide. I... More
