Not much fun , shops are ok but no destination type places down there anymore. Too busy and dirty for me to enjoy.

I'm a bicycle commuter and try to ride a different part of Spokane each day. Very easy. Take a beer pub, winery, food truck self-tour (all or one), enjoy historic buildings, and don't forget the river.

The trail is paved, and park of the Centennial trail that runs all the way to Idaho. You get to enjoy the river, water fowl and the best sight of all is spokane Falls ,located right in the heart of this down town park. Gondola ride, a merry go round, and once the warm weather hits a tram that will... More

Having lived in Spokane for 8 years now, what stand out are the great medical facilities which are located at the top of the hill in downtown Spokane. The two rival hospitals (Sacred Heart Medical Center and Deaconess Medical Center) are so close to each other, very accessible, and visible from the freeway. These structures are the major landmark of... More

Its so much more interesting to be able to walk everywhere & not have to taxi or drive trying to avoid jay walkers. A real variety of interesting sights & businesses are everywhere & reasonably safe @ night .

Its a small city that acts like a low class hell whole. I lived here for family, for too many years. I would not recommend this "city" to anyone. The art scene is poor. The music scene is golden oldies. The politics is ignore the people and if something gets voted down (like the convention center or science center) raise... More

Having moved from the rat race of Northern Virginia to Spokane, it is wonderful to have a downtown to visit. Downtown is truly a nice place to walk around and just spend the day. The park, which is a reminder of the Expo 74 makes for easy walking and in the summer, a place for lounging around. The stores in... More

Downtown Spokane is a nice place to visit. Not a whole lot of shopping, although the Riverpark Mail has some known stores (Nordstrom, Macy's) and is fun to wander around in. There are three floors of shopping - but it's not as cool as the Northtown Shopping Mall. There are a lot of dining options from fast food (food court,... More

Downtown Spokane is amazing compared to what it was like in the 60's. The night life is vibrant and the shopping is very good. The city looks clean and there's very little graffiti - nice to see. The architecture is beautiful and the city has done a wonderful job of developing the trails in the river valley to the west... More

Felt a little uncomfortable walking around downtown after dark so stuck to my group. A lot of people who seemed to melt into and out of the darkness and gave me the hebee jebees.
