Nice Town

Fun place to walk around park and mall area. Plenty of places to eat and have a beer. People are pleasant and at least in the day light seems safe.

there was less construction this year than in previous visits. there are more businesses open during the day on weekends. I like the shopping center by the river but I also like the complex with annies bookstore

Downtown has a lot of newer stores (Apple) and restaurants filling in to compliment long standing businesses such as Macy's. Skywalks connect many of the complexes to protect you from inclement weather as does an attached parkade at Riverpark Square which houses 3 floors of stores, restaurants, a movie theater and more. Also downtown is the beautiful Riverfront Park, several... More

We drove to Hart Field and Ferris High School for tennis. Did not look like much going on in town. I wanted to go to Northern Quest Casino, but their shuttle bus was not available and taxis were limited and would not give me the right information about rates.

We love downtown Spokane. So many wonderful places to shop and eat. The parking garage at the Riverfront Mall is easy and centrally located. Color coordinated to remember where you park. There is even a movie theater in the mall. Such a fun place to spend the day!

If your looking for a lot of shopping you won't find that much. There was way to many bars and restaurants.

We visited the Davenport Hotel while in downtown Spokane. This beautiful historic hotel inside is very picturesque The stained glass in Peacock colors on the ceiling in the bar was very interesting too.

I love the old part of downtown Spokane especially the old red brick buildings. I like it that Spokane has chosen to save and re-purpose some of these old buildings rather than tearing them down.

This is a traditional, small-sized city -- the 19th century buildings are nicely preserved, and there are fun little shops and restaurants to discover as you walk along. Navigation is easy: it's a grid, and not a very big one. Very little here could be called "cutting-edge," and that's what I love about Spokane. Just relax and enjoy, no one... More

Fun playground with giant red wagon play structure. Nice path next to river and falls. Nice air-conditioned mall with food court and movie theater, and many cool escalators.
