Downtown can be a lot of fun. There are bars you can go to, to hang out with the locals. Local wineries. Various restaurants with diverse menus. Riverfront Park is beautiful to walk through. There is plenty to do without being overwhelmed.

A very walkable downtown. Once we parked at the hotel we never used the car again until we left. We walked to the River Park, restaurants, and night life.

I fell in love with this cute little city! Tons of wine tasting rooms all within walking distance! Every restaurant I went to downtown was great. And who doesn't love $4 happy hour wine!

Spokane's not a massive city but its downtown, though compact, offers art, culture, shopping, terrific restaurants, wine tasting, the gorgeous Spokane River, with its incredible waterfalls. Charming, manageable city.

The Downtown area is pleasant enough, but it stay too far and it morphs into a less pleasant area . The Gem of the downtown area is -- of course - the Davenport Hotel,
