It is quite a drive up to the top, and a little scary if another car is going the opposite way as it the road near the top isn't big enough for two cars. But the view is really nice. Make sure you walk to the Vista house, as it looks very different off in that direction.

This is a great place to head to if you live in Spokane. In the winter they have some great downhill slopes, cross country trails, areas to snowmobile and snowshow. Some great views at the top of the mtn when its clear. In the summer there are some nice hiking trails.

Its a bit of a steep road, but well maintained and worth the trek to the top of Mt Spokane for a view around Wash, Idaho and into Canada. There are opportunities for recreation in winter and summer. There is a small, simple, well cared for campground in summer. A peaceful place.

I love to visit the summit of Mt. Spokane. The switchbacks as you near the summit are easily navigated and fun to drive. The summit itself offers 360 degree views and with clear skies the distance you can see is only limited by your sight and the quality of your viewing equipment. When the top is snow free is my... Most people think of Mt. Spokane for winter activities which it definitely has! Nice sized ski hill with beginner, intermediate, and advanced terrain for both skiers and snow board enthusiasts. And don't forget night skiing! It also has an excellent Nordic ski terrain area as well as a fun sledding hill. But check it out in the summer too! Camping,... More

Sorry - I haven't reviewed this very special place that I've hiked, ski'd, biked, snow shoed, and heck - even helped build the chairlifts! The hiking has never been better and you can start at a multitude of trailheads with good parking ... do a meandering slow hike with little elevation OR start @ Big Bear Creek Lodge and take... Great place to visit year around. Winter - skiing, snow shoeing, etc... Summer - hiking, mt biking, driving to the top - can't go wrong here.

The slopes are well maintained and have a variety of levels available. It's a good location to learn to ski. The lodge is just sad: dull lighting, dusty, tavern like appearance is depressing, and the food is just terrible, unless you like canned chili that's exceptionally expensive for what it is.. It's just a place to take a break from... More

Along the way we to Mt Spokane spotted a deer bouncing through a freshly cut wheat field. At first we thought he was heading for the road, but turned away and went back into the field. At the entrance we were greeted with signs stating you must have a pass or pay your fee. The entrance station building was closed,... More

Just wasn't worth the money. Being from Canada, we're slightly spoiled with the mountains here, but this one was terrible. The snow was more like ice… My private ski lesson was taught by a man who was probably one of the founding father's of America. Wasn't worth the money at all.
