A neighborhood from the "old days" with tree-lined streets, lots of variety in homes and landscape, very walkable, a pleasure to explore. A totally great neighborhood, and I have lived in varied neighborhoods from Coconut Grove in Miami to Indian Village in Detroit to a beautiful neighborhood near Highland Hospital in Asheville to the Upper East Side to the Upper... The south hill has old houses from the early 1900s as well as new homes under construction. It has very good schools including 2 junior high schools and 2 senior high schools. Many good restaurants and shops are available for your consideration. House prices are the highest in this part of town but parks and other amenities make up for... More

As a north side resident, I find the south hill impassable and remote. Travel during the snows at your own RISK!

If you are into varied styles of architecture you may enjoy driving around this area of Spokane. There are some areas for photos ops so come with your camera.

This is a great neighborhood. There is something very wonderful about this community. It definitely FEELS like a community, where people know each other and hang out at the Starbucks and say hello to each other at the Albertson's. There are lots of other places that I have explored during my visits here with my daughter, and I am REALLY... More

We have lived in this area for 19 years. We have fantastic neighbors who truly watch out for each other. There is an abundance of parent involvement at the schools. I do the majority of our family's shopping with a 5 or 6 miles radius, meaning there are plenty of shopping options close by.
