I'm a Spokane local. The South Hill is the posh area of town. Manito, Cannon and Cliff Parks are all beautiful. But Riverfront Park and stretches of the Centennial Trail are lovely, as well. Love this park... the rose garden, Japanese garden, sunken garden and the garden of flowers are all wonderful. Fun to walk up and down the hills taking it all in. Great place to take photos!

Take the City Tour drive and especially see Manito Park, eat at the Park Bench. Lilacs are wonderful in May, Roses in the summer. Special concerts in Manito and Comstock Park. World class neighborhoods. Trader Joe, and great shopping and eating estblishments. Best place in town to live, lots of choice of lodging at all prices. Excellent schools.

Love the southhill! It has some top rated places to dine. And the surrounding area is old world. Enjoy driving in that part of Spokane.

Classic Historic Neighborhood overlooking downtown Spokane.
Lovely period homes are located along HIgh Drive.
Check out Manito Park, a large City park located in the MIddle of the area.

South Hill, your road are awful, you take my breath away, serious so steep I need oxygen at my age now. The view is breath taking over Latah, the house have history, Manito, Rose and Japanese garden are world class. Thanks to the good people fighting to keep a little joy of nature around.
