Interesting selection of native art

This store is on the campus of the local Indian tribe. Great selection of artwork of all types. The campus area has some great totem poles and other displays of artwork

usually local tribal members) are helpful and friendly. Be sure to ask them to point you to the Carving Shed. If it is open it is a fascinating visit and you can watch large totems (some costing nearly 7 figures!) being designed and carved with traditional tools. The carvers are friendly if you are respectful and let them continue their... More

Finally decided to stop & take a look. Now I am kicking myself for not stopping before. The selection of native art takes many forms both traditional and abstract. The pricing is understated for the quality. Will need to avoid the place or I will be broke from saving money.

We stopped in here after visiting the Dungeness Recreation Area, and found it to be a delightful little store with very friendly and helpful staff. We decided this would be our souvenir stop, and picked up items ranging from children's books to silk ties to pottery and t-shirts. And they had some fine art as well, which was out of... More

What a great gallery/store! We stopped in here on the way from port Townsend to Port Angeles. There is good parking, as it is part of the S'Kallalam tribal centre. The artworks are considerably cheaper than those on sale in e.g. Port Townsend. Provenance and information about the artists is plentiful and the staff are really friendly and helpful. As... More

This place was amazing. We showed up early and the shop hadn't open yet, so we walked around the building. It was a gorgeous January morning with frost on the ground. Lovely. Then I got to go into the shop! It was amazing. Not too expensive, and epically beautiful. The shopkeep was super friendly and helpful, too. I was able... More

A wonderful place to appreciate local hand crafted art of the Salish Indians. The distinctive style of these peoples art work is on display and available for purchase. There is also information about the S'Kallalam Tribe who have lived there for many millenia prior to European contact. The totem poles and the description of their making is well worth the... More

If you enjoy native art, this gallery is worth a visit. The art was attractive and the prices quite reasonable. The gallery is run by the tribe whose memvbers produce the art. The gallery is part of an attractive, welcoming complex (just off the road), that includes a building in which tribe members at times are carving/making totem poles. There... More
