Must visit for music lovers

It is a bit weird to rate a grave/memorial. But this is a beautiful memorial for the guitar legend! Seems to be pretty popular, too. Purple haze!

Interesting grave in a nondescript cemetery....Nice place to spend 30 mins or so, several sculptures on Jim's grave and lyrics to a few of his tunes.

I used to take out of town guests who were fans to his gravesite. Back then it was just a muddy little plot with a standard size marker with a guitar engraved on it. I often wondered why his grave was so insignificant due to his contribution to the music world. Well he finally has the tribute he deserves! This... More

Built just off 4th Ave in Renton Highlands. Large memorial, that you can just walk around or sit and thing about Jimi's music.

Memorial is a nice site to pay tribute to Jimi. It is a drive away from most everything, though, and there isn't all that much else around worth visiting.

I live very close to this site and have visited many times with family/friends. I am 71yrs old and I think this is the most peaceful elegant cemetery I have ever seen. Jimi's is of course the one that stands out and his sister is to be credited with her tribute to him. Many people leave little gifts and notes.... More

The site is easy to get to , just outside of Seattle. There is ample parking, we parked beside the monument up close, but lots of other parking close by. There is no charge to see the monument and it is set off to the side so others are not disturbed. People still leave momentos and notes to the deceased... More

While planning our Pacific Northwest trip I found out that this grave site was no more than a mile from the hotel we were staying at in Renton WA. Had to stop in and see it. Impressive, solemn and very interesting. My husband and I were fans since Woodstock and we were moved seeing this memorial. No cost to stop... More

Located a few kilometers outside of main Seattle. Once you arrive, you cannot miss it. The shrine is right at the entrance and is front and centre! Very clean and well preserved. A great monument for a legend. A must for any fan. The grounds themselves are wonderful and clean. Take a walk around the grounds and view the great... More

This is a must for any Hendrix fan. I was so looking forward to this until I saw a couple of guys (not even old enough to know Jimi's music when he was alive, locals I'm sure) sitting there with their barefoot feet up like it was their living room. Made me feel like I was invading their personal space.... More
