If you grew up listening to Hendrix, you HAVE to go!

It's so touristy now that it felt a bit disrespectful to Jimi, really. There's not a lot more to say than that. No moving experience. Just something to tick off the Seattle list, just like the Crocodile Bar...All a bit meh, sadly.

We stayed in Renton, and I mentioned we were going to the rock museum near the Space Needle to our shuttle driver. She told us about this place. Took us about 10m to get there. As everyone has said, it is a very lovely tribute to him and his family. It does not feel "weird" to write about it. This... More

I found this in a Renton Flyer & decided to make the trek. It's in a most unusual spot with a McDonald's across the street & a Vietnamese section of the cemetery within yards. I was surprised to not be the only visitor that day. Lots of photo taking, still fresh flowers at the site. Certainly worth stopping by, especially... More

This is just the heighth of weirdness, dontcha think? I mean, it's a grave, yes? (Had to "rate" it just so I could write about the sheer oddity of the experience.) I mean, what would happen if it got poor reviews? Would the "owner" strive to make "improvements?" It's pretty freakish to list a person's grave on the same page... More

who knew he ended up in Renton? My nephew lives nearby and gave me the heads up that my sixties idol was taking his dirt nap nearby. Had to go a play some air guitar and think about the old times doing Purple Haze

I was really happy that we could visit the memorial to Jimi. It was a very peaceful and beautiful place. They did a very good job for a great musician!

This is a nice memorial to remember and honor the greatest guitar player, ever. It is a pretty simple stone memorial with some laser etchings of Jimi's photos and some hand writings. The reproduction of the page with the original "Woodoo child" is there. Girls and ladies kiss the photos on the walls and leave their lips imprint on the... More

This is a nice tribute site. Be forewarned, you'll run into some people on the strange side here. With the legalization of marijuana, it doesn't seem like ti would be a s big a deal to come by here and be stoned, but it still is. The staff takes great care to keep this clean and clear and are good... More

This shrine is the largest at this park; Located about 25 minutes from where Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee are buried if you are grave site hopping. One notable thing is that when you first look at the laser etched images of Jimi...you see what appears to be a red film/smudges on them---as you peer closer, you see that the... More
