I wouldn't go here as a destination, but it can provide an interesting side trip to shopping on Front Street.
Very small place, but what do you expect for free? (donations gladly accepted.) staff was friendly and full of enthusiasm and information. They were gathering specimens from Liberty bay as we got there and they showed us what the days catch was! Touch pool Is a hit with kids. Movies in the hall if you want to sit and learn.
Small, informative, friendly staff. Nice to have a small local place for marine science although but lacking in exhibits.

What a pleasant surprise! Who would have thought little Poulsbo could support a marine center of this quality! The Seattle Aquarium it isn't and don't make a trip to Poulsbo just for this, but makes a FANTASTIC side stop if in Poulsbo already.
Open Thursday afternoons thru Sunday afternoons. Very nice clean and super displays- can be visited in a half hour or more time depending on what your interests are. Leave them a small donation in their jar if you wish- worth it - and educational value super!
Very small as far as aquariums go, but a great "touch & feel" exhibit for the kids to discover tidal marine life. It's worth a stop if you have children, and the price is whatever you care to donate.
