The Puget Sound Express people were great to deal with all along the process. We (wife and I) booked the boat ride to Friday Harbor for the ride, the opportunity to see birds and whales, and for the 2 hour visit to Friday Harbor. There were not enough people on the day we reserved, but we moved up a day... More

We went out on the "Red Head" on a 4-hour whale watching trip. Everything was well done. The crew was very friendly and knowledgeable. Check in was easy and everyone had assigned seats on the boat. They had snacks available on board. We were lucky enough to see several orcas and a humpback. Make sure to dress in layers. It can... Amazing ! We saw three different kinds of Wales, the killer Wales were the best. The captain was very knowledgeable and had great stories too. All in all a great day, well worth it.

What a great tour company! The staff were super friendly and very informative about what we were seeing and the locations we were passing. We did not see any whales unfortunately but we did see lots of seals and different birds. The boat was very nice and comfortable just make sure to layer up if you plan on staying outside... More

Trip started out a little foggy, but soon burned off. Before we even left Port Townsend we saw several Otters. Once it did burn off we had many great views going through the islands. Captain stopped and let us take pictures of several bald eagles. She also described the terrain we were seeing and why it was like that. Arrival... More

We had a great trip, the boat and assigned seats let us just sit back and enjoy watching for whales--which we saw! We loved seeing one of the new babies and his mom as well as the more mature whales! It was a perfect whale watching day and tour!

Admittedly, we got verrrrrry lucky - the J-Pod (residential orca pod) had returned after tow weeks away, and we not only saw them in the morning but they also coincidentally travelled south, so we saw them in the afternoon. Also had a magical trip though the central passage of the San Juan Islands. Saw mother/baby/grandmother grouping as well as several... More

Although the whales did not cooperate by showing themselves, we had a thoroughly wonderful day none-the-less. The boat was immaculate and the crew was attentive, well informed and personable. Our captain did his best to locate whales for our viewing pleasure, and in doing so, covered beautiful and calm waters pointing out and explaining wildlife and the multiple islands of... More

This was an amazing trip! I drove up to Port Townsend with my partner and two friends from Tacoma and we made it in time to park and board right away. We took the Redhead, which was a beautiful boat with a warm interior that had booths and a nice diner feel and room along the outside to watch from... More

From the moment we boarded we had a wonderful time. Our group was mixed. Seven of us adults and one teen. We all loved it. Employees are full of wonderful info and so helpful. I would not recommend for young children they don't have the patience and end up bothering others. Not their fault just to young. Don't expect the... More
