The trip was well organised, informative and well paced. The boat was spacious enough for the people on board, with sufficient seating and tables for everyone. When spotting was required there was plenty of space on deck. We were always kept aware of the plan for the day, changes due to current information about the location of whale sightings and... More

We had an amazing day - not only did we have a wonderful crew and beautiful weather, but we saw orca, minke and humpback whales all in the same day! Starting the morning off with a delicious piece of blueberry buckle was also greatly enjoyed. I highly recommend the Puget Sound Express and would definitely travel with them again!

We only saw one little whale earlier in the tour. I felt that they didn't even try to search for more whales like "Guests saw a whale so our words are kept." They talked about how there were orcas in an area a few weeks ago and what not, but really, if their business is whale-watching tour, they should make... More

Captain Ron and First Mate Scott made the best day for us by making us feel 100% Safe and secure during a challenging boat ride. The winds were high and the waves were omnipresent and their professional experience came into play to accomplish that. Mother Nature did not accomplish her mission and we did see a mother and child Humpback... More

We brought our friends from Maine out to see the whales last Friday - and we had a fantastic day! Three humpbacks before lunch and at least 20+ Orcas in the afternoon - including my first experience of breaching, tail-slapping, spy-hopping and general all around Orcas having fun! Rob (our captain) and Eric (crew) are / were amazing at finding... More

It's important that people are realistic. You will probably see whales during the better season, but there is no guarantee. You can go again for free if you don't. Even then, the whales aren't likely to swim up next to the boat and the boat, by law, cannot chase closer than 200 yards. Still, assuming you're going during a decent... More

We are birdwatchers and this was a wonderful cruise for us! It was definitely worth the money we paid. It's a popular cruise, since the tufted puffins are only in the Puget Sound for a few weeks during the summer. Our boat was full, but still comfortable. We booked our cruise months in advance for August 1st, 2015, although because... More

After careful research on an itinerary to see orcas in the Seattle area, my family and I decided on Puget Sound Express. The website features a stunning photo of an orca and they claim to have more knowledge of orcas than any other tour company (and the best success rate in the industry). On top of this, they guarantee you... More

We took the all-day excursion from Port Townsend to and from Friday Harbor. Saw plenty of orcas from the L pod, as well as one humpback and a minke whale. Seeing a mother orca with young calf was magical. The PS Express staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure that guests of all ages... More
