Anyone who lives in or around Port Townsend, no matter what they think of the town in general, will have reason to sing the praises of the Rose Theatre. In fact the Rose is one of the town's biggest draws. It's normal that the Rose features new releases, and often releases that are simply unavailable elsewhere ...you know the artsy-fartsy... More

My second time at the Rose while on a mini-vacation. It has a nice arthouse vibe, and so many locals go to the small theaters that it's like seeing a movie with a bunch of friends. Sound system is quite good and it's clean. Caveat - no one with mobility problems should go here - it's historic and that means... More

A trip to The Rose is always a great experience. This small theater, with two screens in the main building and a small intimate, living room style screen in the building next door never disappoints. From the well curated selection of movies from block buster to small unheard of independent films to the personal announcements at the beginning of each... More

Wwe decided to see a movie at the Rose Theatre, after hearing about it from friends. We made online reservations for a Saturday matinee. We arrived about 30 minutes early for the show, and were glad we did. Parking is hard to find in PT, and the line for tickets was long. You have to stand in line to retrieve... More

Great theatre to see a new film ... Or a classic. The kind of local landmark that should be supported and enjoyed. Great popcorn.

The personal touch of the employee talking about the movie before it begins and the Starlight Room upstairs with wine and food choices other than popcorn.

The Rose is an old fashion theater with Hi-tech movies. It is so charming and has a new Starlight room to view movies & have drinks and appetizers. Great idea. One of the best things in Port Townsend. Wonderful Popcorn too….

We have only been to the upstairs theater where viewers sit on sofas and comfortable chairs sipping wine and eating from huge bowls of buttered popcorn. Other drinks and different kinds of food are available too. If we lived nearby, we'd be regulars.

I've probably been in more movie theaters than most, but I think the Starlight Lounge (Room) experience is unique. Not really known for exuberant endorsement, I'm about to move to the edge of my critical limb saying that this is the best viewing experience I've ever had. (My first experience was seeing "The Wizard of Oz" as a toddler. Any... More

After the Port Townsend Halloween parade, we saw the matinee of St. Vincent staring Bill Murray. The movie was introduced to us by a women in a Halloween costume. The place is very quaint and cozy, it was like going back in time. The chairs were comfy, sound excellent, and the movie started on time. The bathrooms are downstairs. It... More
