After living here for 15 years, we finally check out MSP. The lake is long and shallow, so warms up nicely in the summer, and with a sandy beach, it's perfect for the younger kids. No boats allowed, but is perfect for paddle boarding, or kayaking. The trails around the parks are well marked. There are large log cabin pavilions... More

Great place to walk through the woods or boat/fish on the lake. It is sort of an unknown gem that we discovered and would recommend for a day trip or outing to anyone.

This park has a great beach for the kids to play and swim in. You can rent kayaks (no gasoline engines), paddle boards etc. There is a concession stand as well. Be sure to walk the trail that surrounds the park. There is a large and lovely ant hill by the trail.

This Washington State park is lovely with old growth trees and the beautiful Deep Lake. We camped for two nights in a tent, and our site was large and fairly private. Deep Lake is clean and nice for swimming. We rented a canoe and traveled the entire lake rim - lots of fun! However, the dumpsters were already overflowing when... More

My family and I visited on a Saturday. There was ample parking, which is important. There was a beach, a small take out food place, and many hiking trails. There is camping, picnic tables, and a lot of beauty. Highly recommended.

I organized a trip here for a youth camp. Staff were friendly and helpful, in person and on the phone. Both state employees and concession employees. I reserved some watercraft online, the process was easy and they were very accommodating when we arrived late. Beautiful clean safe lake. Nice level trails through the forest. No motorized watercraft, the only sounds... More

Favorite Park because of the lake and trials--overall serenity is cool here and you, WITH A COMPASS OR GOOD TRAIL (lots) can trip off to the woods for a fun time!!!

This park is close to Tumwater so you don't have to drive all day to get there and it isn't an emergency if you forget to bring something. Very nice camping spots and a good swimming area at the lake. It can get crowded, but it is fairly large so doesn't seem too bad.
