I've been here so many times; I use the grounds as a great background for my cosplay pictures and to have picnics on during the summer. The inside of the buildings is beautiful and the tour is free and quite interesting. This is a must-see if you vacation in Olympia!

Love this Capitol. the inside is beautiful and the tour guide on Sunday morning gave us a nice tour with lots of interesting facts. The info about the Tiffany lights was cool. The Capitol campus is beautiful and unique with the Governor's mansion right at the Capitol.

I've take the capitol building tour twice on school trips with my kids, and I learned something each time. The building is beautiful and nice to just look around, but it's definitely worth taking the tour, because you'll learn some interesting things about the capitol building and the temple of justice, as well as a lot of interesting things about... We took the guided tour on a Sunday during school winter break. Both my kids and myself learned quite some fun fact about the building itself and state history. The staff made the tour very interactive for my young kids (4 & 6), and kept them engaged. Because it was during Christmas time, there was a large decorated Christmas tree... More

We are on a quest to visit every State Capitol. We drove for 2 hours in a driving rain storm to see this one and it was worth it. Have a great time in this charming town.

I have been here many times both to tour the buildings and grounds with family and to advocate with legislators over the years. My grandfather and father both worked for the stone quarry that provided much of the stone work for the capital buildings and a uncle is memorialized on the grounds as a veteran of a past war. So... Our tour guide, Ellen, provided an excellent tour and provided wonderful information about the state capitol. She answered all our questions and gave us incites we would not have know if doing research or a tour on our own. Tour is free and is about an hour long.

It is a wonderful Capitol, from the Tiffany chandelier in the Capitol rotunda, to the marbled halls. At the winter holidays there is a beautiful tree at least 35 foot tall and beautifully decorated. The campus surrounding the Capitol is also very beautiful.
