The Capital building is impressive on it's own, but when you add in the Hall of Justice just across the street, and the House and Senate Buildings, it is outstanding. The layout of the Capital Campus is convenient for Legislators and Visitors alike. Parking however is at a premium. There is limited on campus parking, almost all of it for... More

We took the self-guided tour however there are guided tours available. The architecture and materials used in constructing the capitol building were very impressive. It was fascinating to be able to see the majestic rooms where the legislature meets.

We had a great time learning about the Capitol. Our tour guide was fun and was full of unique facts about the state. We will visit again very soon.

It's beautiful. This particular capitol is built of marble, and it's quite a site. There is also a large campus with lots of things to see and learn about

We visited the Washington State Capitol twice during our trip, and although we did not have an opportunity to enjoy the tour, we did appreciate the beauty of the building and the friendliness of the staff that worked there. We arrived late one afternoon, and I got hungry with little warning. The cafeteria was about to close, but the ladies... More

One of our favorite things to do while on a road trip is to visit State Capitol buildings. While one can do a self-guided tour, which we started out to do, we later joined a free guided tour which was much more satisfying because the guide will take the group into the certain areas, such as the Legislative chambers, which... My grandchildren wanted to see the capital and so I took them. They were fascinated by the size of the building and the marble hallways. I took them to the various places such as the senate balcony and explained what went on there. It was fun seeing their reactions to the beauty of the place.

Take exit 105 from I-5 S, and bear left on the ramp. You will end up on 14th Street SE, which will take you to the Capitol Campus and the adjacent Visitor Center on the left. Parking on the campus can be a challenge during active legislative sessions (get advice at the Visitor Center) ibut the good news is that... More

Beautiful building to walk around. We got there too late but you can do tours of the Governor's Mansion. Supreme Court is across the street and another building full of history.
