The best Capitol building I have been in. Take a tour for sure, but leave some time to just hang out at the sundial, especially when the sun is out.

Great place to visit. It's a fine example of neoclassical architecture. The dome and chandelier are very impressive in real-life. There are free tours each hour, which I would recommend because you can see the house and the senate rooms and hear a lot of interesting things. We went Saturday around noon and we had no problem finding parking. If... More

Loved the building, even loved the traffic and easy parking. Weather was hot, just how we like it! An easy city to get around. Capital grounds were lovely.

A great place to visit. Extremely well organised and informative tour. I booked a timed tour on line but you can queue and join a tour. It is an impressive building. And it's free!

I had never been in the capital before. We made it just before close on Saturday, which was 4pm. We didn't take the tour, but ran into one of the guides who was friendly and let us see the senate chamber. I would try to take the tour next time if I didn't have small children with short attention spans.

We have been to Olympia a few times and finally made it over to the Capitol building. It was a Sunday, and we parked right along the campus driveway for free without any trouble. It is a beautiful and impressive building, with the columns and marble you might expect, but also with some interesting color and Tiffany-created decor that you... More

We went on Sunday expecting nothing but a chance to take pictures. After we arrived we found it to be open for tours guided and self guided. What a treasure here I hope that if you think about going you do go very worth while

We stopped by the Capitol Building on a holiday so no one was around and it made a nice photo op. Much larger building than I expected and the park nearby is nice to stroll around. I recommend.

Took a guided tour of the capital. Very informative. Governor's office was open and employees and trooper were very polite and informative. Worth doing...it's free! Tour ends @ Gift shop. On a mission to visit ALL of our state capitols, this is number 37. Parking was $3 for 2 hours, I believe that there really should be free parking when... More

The building is impressive to see and worth seeing if you are in the area. The real highlight of the capitol was the guided tour - the guide was very knowledgeable and very interesting to listen to. If you do not take the guided tour, you will miss out on a lot of the history of the capitol and the... More
