I think we are done trying Ocean City State Park. We have spent a handful of weekends there over the years; and although there are some great things - (like the beach) the campsites and bathrooms don't make up for it. We went on a large family camp trip this last weekend and had reserved 4 campsites. These campsites were... More

Compared to the spots in town, this place is much more relaxing as there are few people, but the same great beach. I would totally recommend this place to bring your kids, or stroll around, as you don't have to worry about crazy cars going around you. Only thing is you need the discovery pass or 10 dollars for a... More

The beach was a real treat - lots of things for the kids ot explore. You definitely want to make campsite reservations in advance - if you want to be near the beach, try for one... More

We didn't see any park officials during the time we were there. This may be because they were dealing with all the beach garbage from July 4th or maybe there was just so much garbage because there didn't seem to be any park ranger or volunteer presence at all the time we were there. Too bad some campers and park... More

We enjoyed a walk along the beach trail through the sandy dunes and over a little sand and driftwood bridge someone had made. I really enjoyed this beach and would love to return for a weekend camping trip.

Good sized campground with a short trail to the beach. The area was clean with good bathrooms and campsites. Look at the map when reserving and get one of the sites on the outside of the loops. We were in look 4 on the outer "ring" of the loop (site 108) and it was great. You arent backed up to... More

The Umpqua Lighthouse staff referred us to the botanical gardens and the seal watching rocks along the OR coastline. What a treat. Harbor Seals birthing, Pacific Seals and Elephant Seals all wallowing on the rocks. A unique treat for landlocked New Mexicans

We were in the staying in Ocean Shores we went out to the park to check it out for camping. We camp in a 30 foot travel trailer wanted to see how the sites looked. The sites here are mostly in low lying ground causing them to have a lot of standing water and mud. Would be a good place... More

My wife and I stopped here on a day trip through Ocean Shores. Pretty neat place to explore and large enough to spread out. I imagine in summer the place is very, very active but the day we were there we observed few visitors. We had fun, despite the windy conditions.

My husband and I bring our 32 ft. Travel Trailer to this park frequently in the "warmer" time of the year (above 50 Degrees). They offer Full Hook-Ups and have a Dump Station. Rates are decent, plenty of Pull-Thrus and back-ins. Very enjoyable! Day-use Area has shelters for picknicking and a trail thru the Dunes to the Beach.
