We happen to arrive at the door 2 minutes after they closed. Nice trio of teenage boys unlocked the door for us and scooped up our ice cream for us anyway. It may have been the 2 cute teenage girls that I was treating to dessert after a fun drive on the beach. The ice cream was okay but this... More

We stopped here on our way out of town. The ice cream was excellent. We got some of the taffy as well. The kid's really enjoyed that. Kind of expensive but worth it.

I have been going to Murphy's for my whole life. I love them for sentimental sake but I am always disappointed when visiting them as an adult. The teenagers behind the counter generally seem bored and aren't especially eager to help their customers. When I visited during the winter this year, the fudge was old and rock hard. This summer,... Ice cream lacked flavor, was over priced and the people scooping were uninterested in working clearly. Rude teenagers.

I have been here several times and had a good experience every time. There is a nice selection of ice cream and a decent selection of candy (mainly fudge). This is a fun stop while in Ocean Shores.

We're "locals" and would love to have some place close for a decadent sweet treat, but Murphy's has been consistently disappointing. I will admit that they have the best, freshest, largest variety of salt water taffy in town - but I'd take a pass on anything else. During peak tourist season and holidays the shop is usually a pit with... More

Four of us heard that the ice cream was good so we stopped in after dinner on Memorial Day weekend. From outside this looked like a good place for ice ream, fudge and taffy. Once inside we noticed that most of the ice creams were not marked and that the building was beyond dirty...the floors and counters were filthy and... More

The fudge and taffy are the two things I never go home without. Way more to pick from, but these are my faves.

Murphy's has the best Homemade Ice cream in Ocean Shores. It certainly is worth trying. The only strange thing is that the ice cream is priced by weight so it's kind of hard to know how much the ice cream will cost you.

We go to Murphy's every time we come to Ocean Shores. This time was the first time we had to share the employee's attention with his phone. Seriously, he was typing on his phone while we were ordering. And when we came up the counter to pay he had his phone next the register and was snickering at something he... More
