The Playhouse is in an old church. It is small, old, but this is where the community comes to see small town plays. For that, it is good. Sometimes there is heat, sometimes not. The plays are nicely done and it makes for a fun experience.

While community theater certainly has a valid place in the arts spectrom, and the Whidbey playhouse does some good productions, the overall tone is very uneven. It's a fun place to see your neighbors perform.

What a great place to take your date for something extraordinary! I am going to see Godspell, a musical experience not to be missed! It will be here in September 2015! There are dramas and comedies as well!

Whidbey Island boasts lots of local talent - both native, temporary due to the military families, and many retired folks choosing the bucolic setting for their retirement - and they really provide the Playhouse a great pool of resources from which to draw. The range of plays appeal to a variety of tastes. The playhouse is a remodeled church -... More

this is a small community playhouse but is a fun way to spend an evening. We saw "Run for Your Wife", a comedy and British farce. We laughed through the whole show. It was a lot of fun.

I saw "The Odd Couple" , an all female cast. The theatre it's self was a nice size and loved being able to see the stage well. For the area, I thought they did a nice job. The lead women were very good as well as the two men who played the neighbors. All in all, I would go again,... More

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat......Just a joy to watch! Funny, great singing and a fun night out with girlfriends. We have season tickets and look forward to all the plays.

We enjoyed a rousing performance of Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. This was our first time visiting the playhouse. We had no expectations, as community playhouses vary greatly. The theatre is small and intimate. My husband & I laughed as we'd occupied the time of the theatre salesperson on the phone for some time, deciding which seats to choose... More
