Most planes in ready-2-fly conditon. They now have a DC-3 in good shape. and a f7 tigercat. Nice, but modest collection. Not as robust as the american heritage collection - but growing.

Small, but interesting. The volunteers here are more than willing to tell you about the aircraft and even take you up inside if the aircraft isn't being worked on.
It is a small museum but most of the planes are from other countrys and are flying. The docents are knowledgable and plan to spend about two hours in the museum. You can tell everyone there has a love for planes.
This was a truly excellent museum. The exhibits are put into (accurate) context and there is acknowledgement of all theatres of fighting in WW2 rather than simply focusing on the US aspects as many others usually do.

We really enjoyed seeing the vintage planes and getting an up close and personal history lesson! We were even allowed to climb into the cockpit and sit in the pilot's seat. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Check it out!
This plac has got some really old and valuable planes that you get to have a really good close look at. They have some one of a kind planes there, the last ones left!

Got to visit there to see the Collings Foundation. Wonderful time was had seeing all the historic airplanes and watching the flight activity.
See the lighthouse, walk the beach, enjoy the views of Whidby Island, the Cascade Mountains and the ferries gliding back and forth across the sound. The only minus...a lack of picnic tables! With Ivar's just up the street an al fresco lunch was only natural!
The foundation is run by an energic group of volunteers. There is warm enthusiasm as we were show each aircraft at a leisurely pace. It is conveniently located near the Future of Flight.
