A Nice small park on Padilla Bay...great for picnic or dog run...

Went to the park for a picnic while in the area. Nice picnic areas, beach combing and dog friendly. We will visit again and recommend to family and friends.

This tiny park has the most friendly staff I've ever met! We phoned directly to see if there were any last-minute camping cancellations since the state reservations site said full, and the head ranger said she'd take a swing through the grounds and see if she could squeeze us in - success! Ranger Dan led a fun "Junior Geologist" program... More

So, I traveled and camped all the way west coast from California to Washington. And that place was worst one. Just one shower works and most water faucets doesn't work so have to go far with bowl to someone else's camping side for water. And then... they covered camping ground with sharp pointed crushed stone gravel.... Kidding me??? and it... More

We stayed in a deluxe cabin that had a bathroom with a shower. Cabin #5 is the only one that has a shower. The cabin had a double bed and a set of bunk beds. There is also a small table that seats 2 people. The cabin comes with lights, a ceiling fan, and a heater for the winter. There... More

We rented a cabin (C4) for 2 nights, then moved to cabin C5 for another 2 nights. Both were clean and accommodated the 3 of us just fine. C4 was a lot smaller and the view was not as nice as C5 which had its own bathroom/shower. C4 did not have a bathroom and we had to take a shower... More

Great stay in a 40 foot RV. Nice facilities (water and 50 amp electric) but a little pricey ($38.00/night) for not having sewer! Our location was at the entrance to the park so easy access and a view of the water.

We stayed 2 nights at Bay View State Park campground late June 2015. The Pros: close enough to San Juan Islands ferry dock that it wasn't a long haul early in the AM to make the boat, has sites with water/electric with big enough back-ins that it was easy to park our 30' RV, campground on one side of the... Park was clean and well organized. It was nice to see a place where bottles and cans were actually recycled as other State Parks seem to be missing this concept. The beach was rocky, but clean. The park had many volunteers working at making things run smoothly. Nice place.

Had a nice walk through the park and along the Padilla Bay walking trail (2+ miles one way). Beautiful day with great views of Padilla Bay! The park is very nice and family friendly. Day Use area is by the beach. WA state Discovery Pass needed for parking, or else park a few blocks away at the Padilla Bay parking... More

We camp a lot and usually like to go hiking or exploring something. There is no hiking here, and the beach is closed because it is contaminated. And it really does not have a sandy beach. If you have small children then this is the place to go, They have a big grass play area surrounded by camp sites. Perfect... More
