Winter in Long Beach

How relaxing it was. We went to many places in Long Beach, all of them had happy people and welcoming faces.

Long Beach ranks at the top of our list for ocean destinations in Washington. It is quaint yet offers everything that you need to enjoy the coast. Friendly people everywhere, unlike other coastal towns who don't enjoy tourists much. We even met a nice man in a restaurant who offered to drive us up the beach in his vehicle so... More

We enjoy Long Beach. It is close to home (Portland), but still much less crowded [and thus probably a little less expensive] than the closer beaches to Portland, like Seaside or Cannon Beach. This was our second winter stay in this quaint little town -- and I know we'll be back.

I have been visiting Long Beach, WA every summer for the past 5 years, and will continue to do so in the near future. I look forward to the sandy beaches and the roar of the Pacific. I love going to the Sand Sculpture and Kite Festivals in the summer months. I usually stay at Cauffman's Wildwood RV and campground,... More

We live an hour away but sometimes drive over for a drink or good meal or whatever. It is not much compared to the Oregon Coast but it does offer a feeling that has been lost in Seaside and Lincoln City, small town devoted solely to beach goers. There are several good restaurants though most are in adjoining Seaview or... More

Its definitely not Ocean Park where I live part time; I would never live in Long Beach; too many loud and unruly weekenders. Slight air of homophobia and too many rednecks.

Long beach is a sad little town, not very much to do there, you ca't even go shopping, the beach is OK, but no better than any other beach, and a long drive from I5

One of the few places you can drive on the beach without worry of getting stuck. Beautiful Sunset which lasts forever. Very flat and goes for ever.

This is an excellent place to learn about Lewis and Clark's expedition, and the trials and tribulations that they experienced. Adding to their stunning accomplishment, and that of their Indian guides, is their young age (early 20's). There are many artifacts on display, including excerpts of their journal entries, maps and drawings, which really brings their journey to life. Adding... More

My first time ever seeing the Pacific Ocean. Immediately I was captivated by the beauty of it all. The roaring waves mixed with the late afternoon sunset. WHO CARES if it's not sunny and warm. The waves and the sky looks much more attractive when it is storming/about storm. You can't always have sunny and 75 degree weather. Just embrace... More
