We were a group of 6 : Grandma to teens. All of us nearly had to leave early due to an incredible stink of moth balls. Was it the septic system or perhaps something sprayed around the grounds to keep out critters? No matter, it was so over powering we could not really enjoy the show. I had been looking... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening with the Sound of Music. The small orchestra was great. The cast had wonderful voices and lots of enthusiasm. We were glad that we paid extra for the chair cushions. I would return again to see a different performance when I am in Leavenworth.

My BFF, teenage daughter and myself came to opening night. I loved the show very much. My issue is that the "snacks" were skittles, snickers and some other peanut thing. Maybe liquorice too. I am anaphylactic to peanuts and thought there should of been more choices. The pillows you rent were very comfortable. Would definitely come again... Loved the nuns!

The town is very overrated, shops are ridiculously expensive, so crowded you have to drive around the town until you get lucky and be at the right spot when somebody leaves. Forget getting around if you are in a wheel chair it is just to crowded. We ate at a so called German restaurant, what a joke. Der fast food... More

I brought a large group of teens and adults to The Sound of Music. Everyone had a wonderful time. The only thing I wish I had prepared better for was how cold we got. Definitely bring a jacket and blanket. There is a cold down-draft from the mountain that I was not warned about by the company. Frankly, the show... More

Great shops, lovely views, and wine tasting every other shop! Didn't get chance to do any wine tasting, but next time I go I will defiantly have to do! Was in Leavenworth for 2 days and still was finding something new to see. I will visit this lovely town again!!

A very professional cast, several of whom in the past, have had Broadway experience for this performance. Local children and young adults often fill the parts of children and other players. The backdrop alpine scenery, and lush forests do remind visitors of Austria in the Alps. The musical is held outdoors on US Forest Service property, on Ski Hill Dr.... More

No bad seats in the outdoor theater on a terraced slope. Be sure to be prepared with a sweater or cover-up of some kind, can get cool later in the evening.

This is a not to be missed event. The Sound of Music is the best and most popular but the other 2 plays which change yearly are good too. My choice is The Sound of Music also, the outdoor setting in the foothills is perfect. I have never heard anyone be disappointed they went, even some who were unsure at... More
