Poised on a gentle hillside surrounded by pear orchards, vineyards and the majestic wooded peaks of the Cascade Mountains, the five-acre estate offers a magnificent tasting room and entertainment hall designed by renowned Montana architect Jerry Locati and built by the founder, with towering scissor-truss roof frame, broad windows, and stone fireplaces warming the front great-room, the rear tasting room, and outdoor stone patio.Silvara Vineyards is the dream project of partners Gary Seidler and Cindy Rarick. Just east of the Bavarian village of Leavenworth, the lodge-style tasting room crowns a broad knoll from which you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Upper Wenatchee river valley while tasting a variety of wines. In fall or winter, sit back with your wine in one of our leather seating areas and bask in the warmth of two fireplaces; in summer, catch a live band playing on the green as you relax out-of-doors with a picnic while overlooking the wildflower carpeted hillside. We also offer delicious winemaker dinners paired with our wines. Besides offering wine tastings, the facility welcomes large or small businesses and social gatherings, and will work with couples to provide their memorable dream wedding.

Very relaxing drinking wine and having a snack on the patio. We could have sat there all day. Gorgeous scenery and some great wines. The staff are all very warm and friendly. My husband and I were there with two other couples and we all did tastings. We all purchased wine! The chenin blanc and red blends were lovely; our... More

The location of this pace is great, you can grab a seat outside and relax with your wine in the sun. They have some nice wines too.

I signed up for Trip Advisor just to express how disappointed I was with this Winery. We have visited 100's of wineries over the decades and have never had an experience quite like this one. I could rant about a few things but the biggest was all the stuff (apparently residual sugar) floating in the chardonnay. The girl that was... More

My partner and I stopped at Silvara Vineyards on our way out of Leavenworth. We enjoyed every one of the excellent red and white wines (tasting fee is $10 for any seven of nine varieties) that were offered to us by Gary, the friendly, communicative, creative and knowledgeable co-owner and winemaker of Silvara Vineyards, who provided us with as much... Gary was so fun to get to know. These wines were SO good. Gorgeous setting and GREAT people. Right behind a "fruit stand" that we pass ALL the time. Make your way here!

Being from Cape Town, South Africa Im always looking for a great wine. Silvara Vineyards' Chenin Blanc has hit the mark and the best I've had in the States! I recommend this wine & Vineyard to any wine connoisseur. Gary made the experience that much better! -Jade from SA

The tasting room it's located on a hill so it has a beautiful relaxing view perfect to sit down and enjoy your wine. I am giving it 3 stars because for $10 one get a tasting from 7 wines. However those were tiny tastings. Bring food.

An enjoyable visit, easily found since it's close to the highway. First class service. You'll pay for the tasting if you don't buy. Fortunately I found a good red to take home.

My husband and I visited this fantastic winery today (August 21, 2014) and had a great time. The manager was very generous with his pours, and discussed at length each wine. Then we were fortunate enough to meet the owner/winemaker, Gary! He chatted with us for quite some time. The wines are absolutely wonderful and the view sets the perfect... More

It's been almost a year since our trip to Washington..but I have Leavenworth on my mind this morning. One of the most memorial moments from our trip was an afternoon at Silvara. The owner helped us and was very warm and welcoming. The wine tasting was exquisite and he even took us in back so we could get a few... More
