This is a great place to take a walk along the river. It has some great historic name plates for information along the trail.
Great place for a winter walk with photo views of the river and mountains. About 3 miles of trails to stretch your legs - may need snow shoes after a big snow, or your classic cross country skis.
We no longer have our dog, but he always enjoyed the walk along the river, nice and quiet. So close to everything..
It was fun walking on the snowy trails and our son sledding all through. It was so peaceful alongside the river. The scenery was breathtaking. It being sunny, we got some nice clicks as well. Advice for those venturing during winter months: Wear snow boots and then walk as it becomes slippery on near-melting ice. Try finding for dry snow... More
Take a 3 hours drive from Seattle to Leavenworth which feels like to be merely for minutes due to the scenic beauty and superb natural landscapes along the drive way. I loved taking my dog for a walk here. A great contrast to spending hard earned money, is spending well earned time.
This is a very nice place for a nature walk. The interpretative signs are comprehensive. It's a level walk suitable for all ages.

But what my hubby and I liked the most was the nature walk we took through the garden. It was quite and tranquil and very romantic. The ground was a riot of... More
We visited here during our recent stay in Leavenworth. We started at Enchantment Park, which has a very nice playground area. Then we walked the trails over and back, crossing Blackbird Island. Although the weather was still quite warm, it was cool and shady in the park. The paths we walked were unpaved but mostly level and smooth, such that... More
Wow, the pictures I took at Waterfront Park should win me some awards. My friends went gaga over them. They wished they were with me. The trails to the park are fun (there are bear warning signs posted, FYI), and you will meet some really nice people along the way to the water. There are picnic tables, sandy and grassy... More
