Great place to walk once you're down with the shopping and crowds and rich-but-delicious foods! The walk is nice, fairly flat and level, there's a play ground for the brats and a plenty of room for them to run off their nearly endless supply of energy. We do it every time we go. Also check out the bridges that lead... More

I had been to Leavenworth many times before and never explored the waterfront park. It was a great way to step away from the crowds shopping during the days of tree lighting weekends. Well marked and beautiful snowy views.

Met lots of dog owners who were friendly and also enjoying the outdoors. A great city walk to breath fresh air.

We walked the island and were pleased by the beautiful, snowy surroundings. It was nice that there were signs explaining the origins of the island. We also were able to read the signs regarding the plants and trees. It was a good walk!

We went on the short walk through the park at dusk. It was beautiful with the fog rolling of the river and through the mountains. We read all the signs telling of the history of the waterfront and the species of plants we passed. There is a well kept restroom centrally located. Romantic place to get away from the tourist... You can walk down along the river for a mile or so. Nothing spectacular, but the view is nice and you might run into some early morning wild life. Watch out for the bears though.

Every time we've been to Leavenworth, we take a long walk in the park. Its beautiful and offers great views and access to the river. Its always peaceful. The only annoyance is dog owner who let their pets roam off leash, when it is clearly stated that leashes are required.

We were very lucky to be in town when the salmon were migrating upstream. Watching them creating their nests and jumping out of the water added 20 minutes to ever walk 'thru' the park. Highly recommended activity.

Beautiful walk along the Wenatchee River. Salmon upstream ready to spawn, fly fishermen, beavers swimming, just a lovely walk. Trails are dirt, plenty wide with a number of small beaches and spots to stop. Great break from the shopping.
