A nice walk near the river if you have the time! Didn't expect such well kept trails and the nice walking bridge to cross onto the island. Apparently some of the locals jump off the walking bridge in the summer too - not something we did, but I was pretty tempted. Close to downtown so it's a wonderful spot to... More

nice walk in the morning with my wife. We came back and got a dirty-chai from Blackbird Cafe. Beautiful day, nice peaceful walk. Would love to bring my kids to the kiddo fishing pond in the park sometime.

A lot to like if you want to experience nature, walking trails with occasional riverfront views and an educational experience if you take time to read the many signs explaining the various ponds, plants and wildlife. And it is all within a few minute walk of the bustling Bavarian Village atmosphere of Leavenworth. Over four miles of trails to walk.... More

While my girlfriend and I were walking around Leavenworth, we decided that we wanted to go check out the Wenatchee River, which we knew ran right by the town. We followed the streets that led in the direction of the river, found signs for Waterfront Park, but then almost didn't make it down to the river. There was a fairly... More

We are always looking for new places for our dogs when hiking the Cascades. We went here three times while in Leavenworth. Great small park with lots of nice areas for the dogs and kids to slip in the water. Every one seems very friendly and tolerant of all types of dogs.

Great place to stroll and enjoy the morning. Lot's of sitting opportunities and bird watching. Watched a deer watch us and could have spent any amount of time just wandering.

It meanders along the river, level, relaxing. Shaded and perfect for getting that 'ozone' feel from the water. Leavenworth did it up right with this feature.

We were in Leavenworth for the Maifest, but before all the festivities were in high gear, we took a long walk in Waterfront Park. Though near the busy downtown area, it's a quiet oasis with easy walks and interpretive signs. If you need a break from the overt tourism of Leavenworth, this is a place to walk, relax, and reflect.

We parked at the south end and rode our bikes through the park. it is a great place to escape a rainy summer day in Seattle.

We go to Leavenworth every year for Maifest with our Bernese Mtn Dog and love to take her down to the waterfront park to play in the water. It is close enough to the main town to walk down there and far enough away that it does not get too crowded. Beautiful views of the river and clean well kept... More
