A great trail along the river and onto an island. Lots of informative signs that tell you the history of the area. There's even some beach areas along the river!

Spend a little or a lot of time walking through this park. We entered at the end of town (two blocks from the Leavenworth Village Inn). You can walk all the way to Blackbird Island. Stop and watch the surfers on the river.

Lots of shade for walking in the very hot weather. Really liked the fact that one the way back to the car we could duck into some a/c shops! The trails are well kept up and the scenery is incredible. The river is wonderful - lots of opportunities for rafting or inner tubing.

Scenic river, good for swimming but be aware of the current which can sweep you away! Bought my own floatie and walked up stream 3 times. Otherwise they are easy to rent and they will even bus you upstream. Great way to beat the heat

Beautiful area. I wanted to stay much longer. The river is enjoyed by so many people, tubing, rafting, kayaking, SUP, swimming, etc. The water was so irresistible that I had to get in -- and I had my clothes on. Boiling hot day and that water just calls. Not even freezing, was able to get in. Recommended for families who... More

Waterfront Park offers a range of little beaches to explore and cool down in. It's a lovely alternative to walking through the city.

Well maintained, lots of spots to hide out and relax away from the crowds, nice nature trails along the river, and we might have seen a beaver! (Not sure.)

It is a nice place to walk, but the entrance was closed you so had to go in the back way (9th st). That is a long dusty walk Water level is pretty low right now. It is pretty still. Once the entrance is open it will be a 4 or 5 star attraction.

took a stroll here early in the morning. Twice. Wonderfully quiet. Nice trails along the river. Nicely maintained. Amazing homes across the way. Connects with another park on the west end of town so you basically walk the full length of Leavenworth w/o traffic/hordes of people.
