My boyfriend and I moved out here two months ago. This is heaven on earth as he said it was. He is a former Army Ranger getting through his PTSD symptoms very well now that he is in Kirkland Washington. We moved from NJ and that place kept him on edge. We are an interracial couple and life here is... More

This is a passive park with great views - great for walking, enjoying nature and views of Lake Washington. There is good parking and large grassy areas for kids to romp and fly kites or for people to visit. Good place for dog walkers and bird watchers. My husband and I walk here all the time.

From tribal land to golf course to marsh could be the name of one chapter of this park's history. The current park is generously taken care of by volunteers who are diligent about removing nvasive plants and replacing them with native plants. There are meadows and wetland areas. There are three different piers to look out into the lake from.... More

This park has recently been renovated and has a great beach for swimming, the swimming area is enclosed by an extensive "board walk", the bathrooms are clean with exterior showers for clearing off sand. There is a lot of good parking right at the park or just across the street, and many food places right near by. The beach is... More

A mile or so north of downtown Kirkland, Juanita Bay Park is a gem of a park! Boardwalks take you out over the shallows of Lake Washington, where you can observe all types of wildlife--birds (red-wing blackbirds to eagles), turtles, waterfowl, and even muskrats. The last time I was there, I saw a fantastical duck all in shades of blue,... More

Tucked away in the Juanita neighborhood of Kirkland, this tranquil (except for frolicking kids and dogs) lakefront park is the perfect place to dock your sailboat (rental or otherwise) and walk over to Spud's for some fish & chips on a sunny afternoon.

This park is on the water at Juanita Bay, and contains wetlands and marshy areas as well as a bridge over the wetlands. The bridge used to be a two lane roadway, but has been closed to car traffic for many years, and is good for a stroll or a bike ride. The uplands used to be a nine hole... More
