It takes a bit longer than you want to get here from Hood River, but it was worth the trip. good alternative when Mt. Hood is in the clouds. We brought a cooler filled with cheese, bread and fruit (from our Hood River fruit loop drive in the am), bought bottle of wine and spent a few hours on the... More

The setting for Maryhill is incredible. The wine tasting experience is fun and the music on the patio a wonderful addition. The wines are good, but not the best the gorge has of offer being produced in massive quantities. An enjoyable experience with a view that is second-to-none!

The amphitheatre is a great spot for a summer concert. It has good sound plus a good view of the surrounding hills and the river. It can get a bit breezy up there so be prepared. The staff is generally friendly. You can buy a bottle of wine to enjoy during the show. Food is available but I cannot comment... More

The Maryhill Winery Amphitheater where they have summer concerts is an incredible venue. The amphitheater overlooks the Columbia River Gorge and it is quite a sight at sunset. The acoustical system is excellent - we sat in the grassy area and could still feel the thump of the bass. It is about a 2 hour drive from Portland, but is... More

What a stunning location. While the tasting happens regrettably (and understandably) indoors, there is plenty of outdoor seating for prolonged enjoyment of their wines and food. The tasting itself was a great value (was it $5? for 8 wines) and of course reimbursed if you purchase any bottle of wine. Their Zin Reserve (2011) almost deserves a review of its... More

Hello. Thank you so much for taking the time to post such a great review. We appreciate it so very much. You are not alone in your fondness for the Reserve Zinfandel. It is continually our most talked about, coveted and top selling red wine year after year. We would LOVE to be able to do the tastings outside but... More

We stopped in at this winery and a few others travelling from Portland to Walla Walla. This was the only winery where the staff seemed disinterested in helping us or in telling us about their wine.

Hello "Poopster", Thank you for including a visit to us on your way to Walla Walla. I am sincerely sorry that you did not get the feeling that we were not interested in helping you or discussing our wines. This is not only extremely surprising but also very disturbing to me. I can honestly say this is the first time... More

Overview: 1. Huge parking lot with event parking - perfectly suitable for RVs 2. The parking lot is gravel, so expect dust 3. In the summer it is extremely hot - no shade trees, but the outside eating area is covered 4. The wines are average Washington 5. Bring your own food - it is perfectly acceptable, and you can... We went to a Styx/Foreigner concert and loved this venue! Beautiful views overlooking the Columbia. Super plush green grass terraced for seating and a breeze off the Columbia made for a pleasant evening in the heat. Yummy wine, and a portion of the wine proceeds go to the Heifer International Project, which I love. I can’t say much for the... More

This was my husbands and my second concert there. The venue is just fabulous. Lovely plush grass in the amphitheater. You can bring in food, blankets and such. If you get there during the day be sure to go to the tasting room. Lots and lots of wonderful wines to choose from. They have a very nice outdoor patio that... More
