We went for a day hike to Wallace Falls (lower and upper) and then on to Wallace Lake. The trails are well kept and the view of the two falls and the lake were fantastic. In total, we ended up having a round trip of 10.5 miles and taking 5 hours. I noticed there were a lot of families out... More

I wanted to doing some hiking near Seattle and Wallace Falls was only an hour away. If you want to do a nice 11 mile hike you could do what I did. Here's the route: Take the main trail (Woody Trail) up to it's termination at Upper Falls. You'll see a sign that clearly explains this is the end of... More

This state park is secluded and quiet. We stayed in one of the cabins and found it to be very cozy! A futon and a bunk with one twin on top and a double on the bottom comfortably accommodated the 4 of us. The cabin was decorated nicely and had a large round table; perfect for eating inside when the... More

Got tired of the fog in Seattle so we found this place on the map and decided to go see it. We were so glad we did! This park mainly consists of a trail up a mountain along a fast moving river to get to Wallace Falls. There were three destinations - lower falls about 1.8 miles from the base,... More

Totally spontaneous stop; I could see the falls from the highway so we pulled off. So glad we did. Great hike along a raging river with spectacular views of the waterfall all the way up. We went at a vigorous pace so it was a great workout but it was easy enough that anybody could complete the hike.

We came upon Wallace falls by coincidence (Google :) ) while visiting Seattle and decided to give it a try. It is a bit to walk from the parking up to the falls (we went to the middle falls level only), but well worth it. Lots of interesting and beautiful nature on the way up. As a European, I was... We went hiking as a family (4 year old and 2 year old) along with grandparents. The hike was long but very scenic with bridges and berries and beautiful foliage. It was a popular trail that day with tons of hikers young and old. Because it was our first time we couldn't gauge how long it would take to get... More

We happened to go on one of the only free days for the park, which was a nice surprise. We arrived in the afternoon and got a great parking spot in the lot, despite the sign saying it was full. I agree with other reviewers that the power lines along the trail from the parking lot are unnerving. I don't... More

If you're physically fit and willing to carry small children and leave the oldest ones behind; this is a great hike!! Some of the switch backs are steep. Buy the pass, support the parks, and pay for parking! There is parking up top, but lots of people don't want to pay, so they park along the rode leading up the... More

Beautiful hike. Just be sure to get an early start (as we did) as it got very crowded on the way back down. Will hike this again if in the area.
