This park is right next to Useless Bay and is amazing to see at or near low tide. The tide is significant enough to leave the smaller boats sitting on the bottom of the bay when the tide is out. I saw 2 children under 7 years old walking the water past of the moored boats and the water was... More

Plenty of picnic tables and grassy area above the beach. Long beach great for dog runs. Low tides wonderful for ski boarding. Butter clams can be found1/4 mile from the picnic area. Fabulous views of the shipping lanes.

Your dog can run and play in the water with other dogs and wonderful dog friendly people. Miles of sandy beaches and a beautiful view.

Beautiful views of the water traffic. A great place to go for a beach walk, especially when the tide is out. Great to bring the kids and dogs. The down side, in the summer get there early the parking gets filled up fast!

This is our visit to the Seattle area for clamming. It is also our first try for clamming. We make sure that the tide was at least negative 1.5. According to the locals, the best area was about 1/4 mile walk from the parking area, near the bluff. We arrived at the beach about 1 hour before the low tide... More

We walked way down the beach and let our dog run free....he loved it! You can see the Olympics and even Mt. Rainier! It was a clear sunny day and we enjoyed our time there. Great place to kayak....lots of folks going out on the water.

Great place to spend an afternoon. Dog friendly, South facing, nice sand. The parking lot is small, so go early or prepare to park on the road and walk.

Such a beautiful spot. Walk to the end of the beach to the bluffs. They are clay cliffs. You can take your dog off leash further down..... But make sure you pick up after your puppy!! We love taking our schnauzer there for a run.

A beautiful walking, sunning, playing beach that is dog friendly! Easy to find and ample parking, though at busy times some may have to park on the street...Off leash dog area is to the right of the main park/play area...

We love to come to Whidbey and hit Double Bluff beach for hours of fun. The kids love it here - when they were young they dug moats and castles and now that they are grown they love to walk the beach, search tide pools and climb the cliffs. It is a much sandier beach than most. Puget Sound beaches... More
