I love this hole in the wall park! I go often! I have not had a problem finding parking. Guess the time makes a big difference. I usually go after 4pm during the week. The park was busy only one day out of all the times I've gone. I mainly go to walk my dog, but it gives me calming... More

19 July 2015, on arrival at this location found that beach access is blocked until Fall 2015 due to structural concerns about the bridge over the railroad tracks. Beach access without use of the bridge is blocked by high chain link fences. This off lease beach site is closed and not accessible until after the city repairs the pedestrian overpass... More

We were very excited to visit this secluded little beach park but when we arrived we found the stairs down to the beach closed for repair. It looks beautiful and hopefully we'll get to see it when we return one day.

This is a great park upper and lower areas. Lower has beach access but the bridge is closed for repair. Upper areas great and open. Views play area picnic areas super quiet except near the play area.

Nice beach, but it cannot be accessed legally for the rest of 2015 and beyond. The walking overpass was tagged as structurally unsound, so don't bother with this one until it reopens.

The upper park is a nice grassy treed place with picnic tables, children's play equipment, and if you look for it, you can take a wooded trail down to the beach. Be aware I've seen some sketchy people around on occasion, just as at any urban space...but it's mainly families and folks enjoying themselves. Drive down past the grassy park... More

Great little walk to the beach and also some play equipment for the kids on top. Wonderful views. There is shade and a nice bridge over the railroad tracks

First off, I write this as both a warning & a thumbs up review. I had picked this park as part of our Fathers Day outing(6/21/15), it looked like a great spot for a picnic before the Aquasox game. We live about an hour and a half away and so I could only rely on the various reviews I'd read.... More

The kids love this beach! The way to Howarth Park is over a wooden bridge that crosses the railroad tracks. The bridge was closed in May 2015 and may not be open again until summer 2016. When access is open you'll find a beach with shallow surf right on Puget Sound. Ideal for wading in summer. There is always driftwood... More

Low tide leaves you with a large beachfront to explore. High tide leaves very little beachfront. Bridge over train tracks is fun. Nature close at hand. A long walk for little ones, or elderly. Great views though.
