We had an amazing Kayak tour out of Doe Bay. Zack was a knowledgeable and experienced guide. Weather and water conditions were perfect. We saw lots of marine life including porpoise, seals, and a large salmon that jumped four feet from the front of our kayak.

This was my first guided kayak tour and the kayaks were tandem, My party of seven did a 3 hr sunset tour departing from west beach and the environment was really noisy and not tranquil like where we stayed at Rosario. There was instruction how to use the paddle, PFD, and spray skirt. We saw a jelly finish (the type... More

At the resort for a short family vacation. Booked a three hour tour, no not like Gilligans Island, with Shearwater Kayak Tours before we left for the resort. It turned out that we were the only group with this tour, so we got very personalized attention from Anika, our great kayak guide. She was very helpful and full of information... More

We went out on this excursion not knowing what to expect. Michelle our guide was helpful and made the entire experience exceptional. We saw fantastic sea life, leaned some local history and had a great afternoon. We had a family with younger children on our trip and they seems to also enjoy themselves. Lots of instruction and not too strenuous.... More

Our guide Anika was wonderful and we spent an idyllic afternoon kayaking around islands near deer harbour. We saw harbor seals, starfish (not many) and a little sea lion.

We were staying at the Inn on Orcas Island so we were able to walk to the marina to go on this kayaking tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and she was patient with some challenging people on our tour. We got to float past a harem of seals sunning themselves on some rocks. We would have preferred to... More

A friend and I visited Orcas Island in early October as a last minute trip through Groupon. We were hopeful to kayak but as the tourist season has ended, we were unsure if we would find a company. I phoned Shearwater and they were able to have us on the water at 2 pm the same day. Corey was our... More

My husband and I did our first-time-ever kayak adventure from Doe Bay with Shearwater. Our guide, Corey, was fantastic. Not only was he extremely kind and patient with us senior first-timers, he was an excellent teacher. He gave us an opportunity to taste sea lettuce (not bad!) and experience the aloe inside of rock weed. We paddled for about 5-6... More

My fiance and I shared a kayak in a group of about four other teams, and a guide. Our guide was enormously sweet and encouraging. I'm terrible with names so unfortunately I've forgotten his name, but he was careful, knowledgeable, calm, funny and helpful. He made sure everyone was comfortable at all times, and gave everyone some of his time... More

We had an excellent full day trip to Sucia Island State Park. Our trip was cancelled the previous day due to windy conditions. We were the only ones able to reschedule, so our trip was just the two of us and our guide. Our guide assessed our kayaking skills and would have changed the course if we had not been... More
