Capt Ward was a great host. We had a private afternoon sail (3 adults and 1 toddler). My son seemed to really enjoy his first time sailing. I was able to steer the boat for a majority of the time out on the water. We brought a cooler with some snacks and drinks to have a picnic on the water.... More

Or family of 4, including 2 teenagers, thoroughly enjoyed our morning sail with Wade. All of us were new to sailing, and Wade was patient answering all of our questions. He showed us, and let us practice some of the sailing fundamentals. It's now a couple of weeks later and I still reflect on our trip at least daily. Thanks... More

We had an early morning sail and thoroughly enjoyed it! Although the wind didn't cooperate at first, our very patient and eager sailor, Wade, kept looking for the best area to go to find the wind. We did find it, and was able to set sail without the motor much of the time. He was very patient and helpful with... More

The Aura is easy to find at the marina in Deer Harbor. We sailed at 4:30 pm with Captain Ward - he really knows the area and was able to point out all the little islands that dot this area. My husband was comfortable as the helmsman throughout most of the trip, although Captain Ward took over the tricky bits.... More

Ward is truly an amazing captain. He let my son help him and joey was able to steer the boat. We were lucky enough to see a porpoise 2 seals a eagle landing in a nest with his partner in it. The trip was well worth the time and money. I strongly encourage you to try this. I will be... More

Ward did us well. It was a beautiful day and his boat was ready to go. She's got a crisp new main, fresh brightwork, and is a real piece of history from 1948. The water was flat and smooth making it a pleasant trip all the way around. There was enough wind even in the morning to drive her close... More

We had a great day with Ward. We saw seals, and bald eagles. We sailed around the Island, and Ward told us stories about different places, and people. We brought beverages and lunch. My 84 year old mother-in-law helped steer the boat,(bucket list) and couldn't stop smiling all day. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Maybe see you... More

We had a wonderful time sailing the bays around Orcas Island with Ward, who gave us a little instruction and allowed us to steer and assist with the sails. A beautiful older boat that got up to over 5 knots on occasion, outstanding views, lots of interesting information and history shared by the captain, great closeups of some seals and... More

We bought the Groupon for this sailing trip as it seemed like a really great deal. We had family arriving from out of state and wanted to show them a good time. Well, this adventure was amazing! It was a gloriously sunny day and the islands were a spectacular sight to see! The captain was very knowledgeable and personable. He... More

Ward showed us around the bay of Deer Harbor and San Juan Island. He let me steer and gave each of us a job to do. The boat ride was informative and inclusive. He was casual and friendly and we all felt at ease. The view was amazing in the day was gorgeous. This trip was definitely worth the time... More
