Ward Fay is a knowledgeable captain and interesting individual who shares local color and history along with his knowledge of the flora and fauna of the area as you enjoy your sail through the waters around Orcas Island. We had a delightful four hour sail and would recommend the experience to anyone who is lucky enough to be in the... More

Our family of four truly enjoyed sailing with Ward this week. His sailboat is beautiful! I was mostly impressed by Ward's patience to teach my two sons (ages 8, 10) how to sail the boat. He let them run the sailboat for the entire ride. They LOVED it. Thank you Ward for sharing your boat with us and giving our... More

Exploring the islands from the sea is the only way to truly appreciate their beauty. Captain Ward was laid back, experienced and very hospitable. He gave simple sailing instructions and let us all try a hand at sailing. We would highly recommend this adventure and can't wait to return. Be sure to bring a light lunch. Once on board, sit... We had a great afternoon on the water. Sailing in the San Juan Islands is fantastic. Ward is an excellent sailor and a pleasure to hang out with. As others have mentioned, he is very laid back and let us do as much as we wanted and gave the right level of instructions to make it a fun experience. We... More

Had a great time; saw lots of seals, hawks, eagles, vultures circling up high, beautiful sights. Highly recommend it. Captain Ward is friendly and informative about the islands and the people on them. Would definitely recommend. There were four of us and we brought lunch to eat on the boat. Great relaxing day on the water!

We took this day sail July 2013, and again for the second time this past weekend and really enjoyed it. Captain Ward Fay is a pleasure to be aboard with and although the day started out with rain, we found that we were totally comfortable under his rain "tent" until the light showers ended, and then we had sunshine. Ward... More

My husband and I joined Capt Ward Fey on his boat for an afternoon adventure for our anniversary. I had never sailed prior to this outing and Ward was very laid-back and instructed what to do along the way. We had a great experience listening to his knowledge of the different islands and it was very relaxing too. I would... More

We had such a great time sailing with Ward last year, we booked our trip this year to be Wards first sail of the season. What started out to be simple outings turned into a fantastic adventures. Being able to sail such a wonderful vessel as the"AURA" while listening to Ward's amazing knowledge and history of the Islands. Unlike a... More

We had a fantastic time sailing with Capt. Ward Fay, none of us had any sailing experience, and one of us was very worried of a tilting boat. we signed up for the 430 evening sail, after booking we noticed we might be hard pressed to catch the last ferry off the island, the Capt. was very accommodating and we... We signed on as three older couples, with several first-timers in the group. The captain was calm and casual, especially about letting total greenhorns handle his boat! He was pleasant and personable, and very patient with our hundreds of questions! 2 sailing misconceptions (for first-timers): 1) I had imagined sailing as windy, white-knuckled, and a 50 degree angled ride. It... More
