The lake is crystal clear and the weather hot.

The lake is crystal clear and the weather hot. What more could you want. We stay at the state park every year and love the lake.

We go here for a week at least once a year. Its an amazing lake with so much to do (especially if you are on the Chelan/ Manson side. The lake is crystal clear, incredibly deep in parts. From wineries to restaurants to the lake itself, highly recommended. Loads of available accomodation no matter what your needs are.

I recently visited Lake Chelan, just after the horrific fires that devastated many homes and properties in the area. My brother and his wife have a property overlooking the lake and although it wasn't the most popular destination to visit due to the fires in the area, I was still blown away by the sheer beauty of the area. My... More

Lake Chelan is magnificent. One of the deepest freshwater lakes anywhere, it offers spectacular views and great fishing and boating. The small town of Chelan has but five thousand permanent residents until Memorial Day when it begins to swell and from then until Labor Day there can be a five fold increase in population. Certainly it strains the ability of... More

Peterson's Lakefront Resort has the perfect combination of condo view, lakefront access, pool access, boat launch and comfort. The recent wildfires had came close, but all is well at the Lakefront Resort. The rooms are very well equipped and reasonable priced.

We got into Lake Chelan around 2 pm. checked into the hotel. then took a trip around the West side of the lake. Can still see much of the damage from last augusts fire.. nearly got to the city proper, can still smell a little smoke.

Scenic small town with family nearby. I spent my one day in Chelan at the Chelan Municpal Golf Course. Great place to play golf.

So, lots of Washingtonians make a big deal out of Lake Chelan, but I will go on record as saying I don't really understand the draw. I grew up at Lake Tahoe, and this is not even close. Yep, the actual body of water looks very clear and inviting, but the surrounds leave a lot to be desired. The town... More

Just got back from a quick weekend trip to Chelan. We stayed at the Lookout (neighborhood of rental houses), brought our Seadoos and enjoyed some family time. Weather was in the 70s and NO ONE was on the lake (except for us). The water was like glass! Smooth cruising on the Seadoos! After riding we walked over to Vin Du... More
