The extensiveness of the museum was a welcome surprise. There is a large quantity of indian artifacts, pictures and history. The pioneer village assembled from locations around the county were interesting and pleasant to walk around. All in all a very pleasant and educational experience.

Anytime we travel, we take the time to tour museums. This one is exceptional. Takes you way back to when Cashmere was settled, old farm equipment, waterwheel, outhouse, and interesting displays all over. It is outdoors to the village, so if it is chily, take a light jacket. We were there in May and it was just perfect

My husband and I were visiting Leavenworth for 2 days in late July and when we got a little tired of it, we drove to Cashmere. What a pleasant surprise! The town is very pretty with very attractive cottage homes around the downtown area. The museum is the top attraction for miles around. The displays cover a wide variety of... More

If you come here in the summer you absolutely must come earlier in the day, since Wenatchee/Leavenworth/Cashmere are very hot. However, if you get the outdoor portion done first, the indoors are nice and air-conditioned with an elaborate set of rooms set apart for artifacts, minerals/geological finds, antiques, etc. We always find something new that we never saw before. Huge... More

This place is amazing. So much history it is hard to remember it all. If you are in this area this a must see of things to do. The price is great and even better when we used our AAA discount. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This is a must see highlight of a visit to the Cashmere/Wenatchee/Leavenworth area. Adults are charged 7 dollars each, but you would have to look long and hard to find a more extensive collection of Native American artifacts, as well as an extensive gemological collection (particularly petrified wood samples) and artifacts from early white settlers. All the structures in the... More

Didn't think this was going to be much, but when we got inside it was way better than I thought. The challenge they made up for finding things in the museum was great and the ladies that work there are very sweet and cheerful. A lot to see!

the pioneer museum is a hidden gem in the cascades. it is bigger then it looks from the outside and the displays were neatly organized. besides native and settler artifacts a display of local animals was well done. the out buildings all came from the local area and are perfectly furnished. dont go by outside appearances, this is a must... One of the best Indian artifacts collections on the West Coast. This well run community of Cashmere museum has outstanding art works and bronze works by artist such as William Reese and others.

I have been to the Chelan County Museum and Pioneer Village several times with family members of all ages. Their Pioneer Village is a wonderful experience and re is always a new display or exhibit. On special weekends they have volunteers dressed up in pioneer attire and stage reinactments of history in the area. Pack a lunch and plan on... More
