Park Trails are Beautiful but Could be Marked Better

Great trails around Lacamas Lake, and there are basic signs to guide you, but there are many forks that do not tell you how to go. It became frustrating, I got lost 4 times. The... read more

Great place to kayak and sup. Easy access and very smooth water if you go over to adjacent Round Lake. If you do not have your own you can rent from Sweetwater sup rentals.

Love that it is hard gravel and not pavement so its nice on your knees. It can get a little crowded with joggers. Everyone has been nice letting our dog swim off leash without yelling. Great easy slow in for the dog. It is her favorite lake. Can walk to two other lakes - Round and Fallen Leaf. Nice views... More

Great trails around Lacamas Lake, and there are basic signs to guide you, but there are many forks that do not tell you how to go. It became frustrating, I got lost 4 times. The Camas Lily Meadow was worth coming for! The spring flowers are out and worth getting lost for. Will come back again now that I know... More

The hiking around this area was great! It was so pretty and clean, just all over a great experience. There were lots of runners and people walking their dogs. Everyone in the area is so nice. The scenery was awesome, really it is! Coming from San Diego you just don't see forests like this. The waterfall, bridge, all of the... More

Lacamas Lake offers a bit of peace and beauty within the metro area. Boating options of course, but bike and pedestrian trails are wonderful. Eventually, the trail is to connect around the entire lake.

From fishing to waterskiing, this lake has lots to offer. I was surprised to find this large lake right in town when I first moved to the area 10 years ago.

Two lakes, a playground, picnic areas all over plus a damn spouting water and at least four water falls accessible by hiking trails. All this set in beautiful northwest forests. There is even one area set aside for wild flowers. Hiking is my favorite way to see all the sites in the park but you can bike just as easily.

This is a lovely lake, with lots of parking, and an easy boat ramp for paddle boards or kayaks. We were there on a very windy day, which made paddling a challenge, but kept a lot of other people off the lake (which was a plus). It's hard to believe that it's only a short drive from Portland -- feels... More

We went to Lacamas Lake to cool off and escape the Portland Heat! Round Lake is so quiet! Lots of family friendly hiking and biking trails. BBQ's and picnic spots. We hiked to the back of the lake and found a swim spot all to our selves! We did not see any motorized boats on this lake. Lots of fishing... More
