The lake is peaceful WHEN there are NO jet skiers. Have visited when they are NOT there and loved it (most mornings). Evenings may prove distracting if they're out in force. Lots of easy hikes... definitely safe for kids, families and solo hikers.

Beautiful lake/park! Walking path goes around the lake. Lots of picnic tables and areas off the path to sit and look at the lake or picnic or fish. Nice little playground. Best of all there are kayak and paddle board rentals. No motor boats or jet skis to pollute the water and take away from the peacefulness. My kids swam... More

Good size lake to putz around and enjoy kayaking. Wide enough and long enough to get a nice work out in. The boat launch is a good approach and plenty of parking. Go in the morning, as the boaters and other water craft tend to get in late morning. The best part of this is that it is close to... More

Beautiful lake. Well maintained. I went for a mild hike on a beautiful day. The waterfall was nice and the hike was peaceful.

Heritage Trail that borders Lacamas Lake is a good place to walk and run. Much of it is in the shade, but there are some sunny spots. Parking lot to parking lot at each end is about 3.5 miles, so a total of 7 miles both ways. The trail is hard-packed gravel and dirt, very smooth and easy to navigate.... More

Great park for a mild hike. Refreshing water holes for cooling off. Need a nice pair of hiking boot or shoes to really take advantage

We are visiting some family in the area and we checked out this lake while here. It is a fun lake with a few people in various paddle boats etc. it seemed like there were a lot of people fishing, swimming, boating, etc, but it was a hot day when we came. I saw a couple of rope swings which... More

I enjoy two different walking trails along the south side of Lacamas Lake. The most western portion of the lake trail begins just to the west of the new Community Lodge. It runs west toward the tip of the lake providing lake views all along the southern edge of this beautiful lake. The other trails begin near the parking lot... More

This is a very nice place to visit just outside of Vancouver. There is plenty of parking and lots of trails you can take around the lake. My family likes to go here and use the playgrounds or take an easy stroll on one of the multi-use trails. First off, I would not call this a hiking trail...there is not... More

Close to town, close to variety of services, big enough to allow people to spread out but small enough one can't get lost. Does have fishing available, boat ramps. Unfortunately, water quality can suffer at times. Jet skis can be a little bit of a nuisance because of the small size of the lake.
