This lake was like scene from a movie. The lake was so calm with occasional rings when the fish would jump. The trees lining the lake looked like someone had picked each one out and placed them there perfectly. It is an extremely peaceful place to spend a couple of hours.

Lake Padden is to Bellingham what Greenlake is to Seattle. You can go for a walk around the lake - about 2.6 miles, or continue and explore other areas and double the mileage. Very enjoyable place to go with friends, or just by yourself. We went on a rainy, misty day, and found solitude and serenity there. Enjoy the many... More

Lake Padden is a beautiful area. We enjoy taking our pooch to the dog park. While I've heard some complaints about aggressive dogs, we've never had a problem. It's also a perfect place to run. Grab your shoes and take a run around the lake!

Lake Padden has a little bit of something for everyone; good trout fishing from shore or boat, a great labyrinth of hiking trails from easy to moderate, a great adventure play area for small children, plenty of bathrooms with flush toilets, a dog run area and even ball/soccer fields. Ample parking and a covered BBQ area. Worth the stop for... More

We almost didn't go to the dog trails here because we were tired, but I'm so glad we did. There is a decent sized gated area for dogs to play - it was alright but nothing special. Connecting to this gated areas, trails into the forest begin and there are several that are off leash. Our dog had so much... More

Well maintained paved paths ideal for jogging/running. Beautiful sunrises and a perfect place to see the changing of the leaves in the fall time.

Beautiful fall weather on a Saturday brought out all kinds of people in droves : Picnicking families, walkers, joggers, cyclists, people walking dogs, you name it. The trails are not too steep means that this is popular walk for all ages. Given so many people are around, it is a safe area. The trails are suitably wide to accommodate everyone... More

This is a beautiful park on Lake Padden and is about 2.1 miles around. We did this walk/run every morning and it is perfectly hilly with lots of give in the ground. Part of the walk/run is on the lake and part is throughout the shady rain forest. The scents and sights are amazing to experience. There is also a... More

Absolutely beautiful park. Great for a picnic day. Nice children's play area and a fun place for children to go fishing. Spent many days with my family there
