There are plenty of hiking trails throughout this wooded park and it is easy to loose your sense of direction. Keep going uphill though, and you will eventually reach the tower which offers some very nice viewing of Mt. Baker, the Two Sisters, and Bellingham Bay. The tower is a wooden structure, is quiet sturdy and very easy to climb... More

Great for bird watching (woodpeckers galore.) Tends to be super muddy when it rains though as most paths are dirt trails. Trails split through wooded areas and generally a great way to take in a Pacific Northwest rainforest. Eerie at night time and very quiet.

The name describes it well... an arboretum on a hill. With trails that circle the hill, a lookout with a great view, and easy access from roads at the base and to the top (or very close to the top), there are plenty of choices. I enjoy the up and down options, but one can follow a countour and enjoy... More

If you like a stroll through the trees with runners, high school cross country team, and dogs (but no bikes allowed), these trails are for you. Trails wind up & down & along a hill in the trees. A bore.

One can drive practically to the tower or enter on trails from campus. We took this walk today from the trail head at the end of Jersey Street. Our goal was the tower since we had heard that some clearing of trees had taken place, allowing for a better view. The view is still mostly blocked from the tower by... More

First of all it's free! Wonderful place to walk among huge trees, ferns, secluded landscape. We went to the tower and climbed for the view, however, the tall trees and forest obstruct a lot of what you would expect to see.

I found there to be some very good wooded trails and the look out tower was nice to catch a view. A very good way to get out into nature if the time doesn't allow you to venture further.

Didn't know what to expect, but found lots of hiking trails, a tower and "quiet rocks" (a bit of a mystery), as well as a tunnel through a rock. Very scenic high up over Bellingham.

There is a wonderful network of trails with moderate elevation gains right in the middle of Bellingham. Climb the view tower for peeks of Mt. Baker, the city and the bay. Planned view trimming of the trees should soon expand the vista.
