These folks are so wonderful! First, if you're a photographer - I HIGHLY recommend this whale watching company. You'd be hard-pressed to find a most stable platform to shoot from. Second, the boat is large, comfortable and has everything to keep adults and children happy. We were treated to more than 22 orca whales, less than an hour north of... More

we enjoyed a 7 hour whale watching cruise through the San Juan Island. The naturalist on board narrated as we cruised, pointing out the wildlife we saw and shared the history of the islands. We had a Groupon which really made a deal. It was a fabulous day, I wish the seating had been more comfortable...I walked around a lot.

I was apprehensive about the tour for killer whales knowing its a crapshoot, but Island Mariners delivered! They went as far north as they could to hit the day's known spot for a pod sighting in the Active Pass region and damn...there they were. This extended the day from a 6-1/2 hour expected tour to a 8-1/4 hour tour and... More

My family and I really enjoyed this tour. The water was perfectly still and the sun was shining all day. Our trip ran a little longer than advertised, 8 hours in all, because we had to go up to Active Pass to find a group of Transient Orcas. It was a long day on the water but it was well... More

We had a beautiful sunny day on the water. The cruise is a full 6 hour trip. The ride out goes through some really beautiful scenery while the crew keeps you informed about the wildlife you are passing - seals, porpoise, eagles and a large variety of sea birds. And then you get to the orcas. What an amazing hour... More

We have been on the Island Mariner whale watching cruise 6 times.we have seen whales on every trip. Our trip on August 9, 2014 was the best yet. Orcas should NOT be held in captivity. They clearly love the wide open water which allows them to entertain us at will and not at the direction of a whistle or hand... More

What an incredible day! Was a little worried we would not get the trip I "dreamed" of but what a surprise. After about 11/2 hours we were surrounded by groups of orcas. They breached and slapped and played for us. Set with the backdrop of Mt. Baker, it was a dream come true. Everything was great from tickets to seating.... More

We grew up in the Puget Sound area and have taken boat tours (including whale watching) all over the world. We had explored Puget Sound in our own boat, but we had never gone on a whale watching tour in our own backyard. Talking to other customers, it appeared many were from western Washington too. Now we're wondering why we... More

We found this company by accident...ran across their brochure in a transit station. They were appealing due to their departure from Bellingham, rather than someplace in the San Juan Islands...eliminating the need for a ferry ride. Their price was also quite reasonable. We placed a phone call at 9:45pm expecting to get voicemail, but they answered the phone and were... More

We had a great time. We saw Orcas, seal, eagles, and much, much more. The crew and staff were very friendly and informative. The boat, <all 110 feet of it> was kept and clean. The snack bar has something for everyone, kids and adults alike. I was an all day trip, almost 7 hours. I should have brought a jacket,... More
