Well worth a quick stop on the way to Artisan Point. The dirt road is a bit pocked, but going slow alleviates the bumps. The falls are essentially 50 yards from where you park. The path is a bit tricky with rocks and tree roots, but again like the road, slow and steady wins the race. The falls--of course--are gorgeous...

Area is very beautiful, but the vantage point of the unmarked lookout for the falls does not lend a full view of the falls. It is worth the drive on the gravel road.

Turns out the pictures I'd seen before going to Nooksack Falls were taken by professional photographers who probably risked their lives to take the picture. They even list on the board the names of people who have lost their lives trying to go beyond the barriers! The good news is it is pretty even from the fenced area and is... More

Easy access to a free sight seeing place with free parking is hard to find. Well worth a 1/2 hour or more stop when in the area. We stop almost ever time we past this local waterfall.

We stopped at this spot and saw these impressive falls with river converging at mid point. The falls are fenced off so the view is a bit limited and disappointingly there is not a walking track attached to them so we had to find another which we did at Horse tail bend

They had predicted there were going to be very strong winds and a storm coming to higher elevations, so I was a bit concerned at first about visiting Nooksack Falls. I didn't have any difficulty getting to it, though. The storms didn't seem to affect this elevation as much, and it mostly rained. The falls are really beautiful, and it... More

Wonderful falls! Nearby Glacier Creek was filled with salmon spawning. Very informative Ranger Station nearby.

Be sure to stop and view the falls on the lovely drive to Mt. Baker. The glacial water colour takes your breath away. Quite a photo op!

We were driving towards North Cascades National Park and saw a sign for this waterfall, which I've never heard of. I love waterfalls and said to my husband that we should turn off and if it wasn't too far to the falls, take a look. What an amazing surprise! The falls were very close to the turnoff, and just beautiful!... More

These falls are just a few minutes off the highway and are quite beautiful. It is an ideal stop on your way to somewhere else, but not really worth the drive if you're coming from a distance. We drove 2 hours from south of Everett just to see the falls and perhaps hike. The trails aren't really good and the... More
